me and dp are ttc. i was due on the 10th but didnt arrive but on the 14th there was a stain on the toilet paper but that was it. i have had some cramping pain but nothing to painful but the thing is this happened about 2-3 months ago and it was negative. i would do a test but i dont know if it is too soon

i am going in to town on thurs to get a test my dp has no idea as last time we had got used to the idea and then it came back negative but this time it kinda feels rite

Everything crossed for you Clare. It took us nearly 5 years to concieve and like you it "felt right" when I finally got a positive test.
So hope it's positive for you - know how miserable it feels when it's negative.

I am trying to conceive a baby and have had irregular periods for the last six months. I have had a blood test done, but that was fine, although I am 41 I am not menopausal or anything like that. My last period was 40 days late, then I had a period at 24 days and now only 14 days into my cycle I have noticed just a slight bid of blood on the toilet paper, nothing major, but a spot or two. Surely I am not going to come on again after only 14 days. Has this happened to anyone else, coming on that early after irregular periods. I am extremely worried. Also we have been trying for a baby for 9 months, is this a long time or not? Anyone got any tips that might boost fertility. Thank you anyone out there who can help me.

What is an implantation bleed. I have heard of it but not sure what it is. My last period was 14 days ago and now I get a slight spot of blood on the toilet paper. Surely it couldnt be another period yet could it? What about this implantation bleed?

Worriedbev, A little bit of blood could also be ovulation. Can happen sometimes when the follicle ruptures during ovulation. Have you had a gynae check for the irregularity? I had some mid-cycle spotting when I had uterine polyps.

So I guess what I am saying in my very limited knowledge is that the spotting could be for many different reasons. Implantation bleeding is when the fertilised embryo burrows into the endometrial lining and a little blood is shed, more like spotting. Typically occurs 7 to 10 days after ovulation if the egg is fertilised. Doesn't happen to everyone though. Also is the blood red or brown as brown blood is old blood.

I have an ovulation bleed each month at around Day 11. I also spot in the week prior to my period. Dreaded my smear as had convinced myself it was serious but it has come back clear. However, my doctor told me that my cervix had flattened (as your navel does during pregnancy) and this was causing the bleeding (she didn't confirm the ovulation bleed).
There are lots of boks about fertility awareness which would help you to become very familiar with all the changes during your cycle. You could also see a natural family planning advisor (I did and found it extremely helpful).

The blood is a tiny red bit, only a spot, but whenI went to the toilet earlier there was a very light smear on the toilet paper. Definitely not old blood. I keep feeling like I will be starting my period on and off but surely it cant happen after 14 days, can it?

How did you go about finding a natural family planning advisor. Did you have to pay for this or did you go through your doctor.

I have never experienced spotting mid cycle like this before, I had heard of it but thought it was only a myth as it has never happened to me, so why should it start now? I am so confused.

First of all try not to worry about it. I hate to say it but my doctor did say that many women find their cycle changes as they get older (in her words "natural wear and tear").

I went to one in Oxford when I lived there. It was part of the Family Planning Clinic and so was free. I would contact your local one first and if you have no joy perhaps ask your GP. Hope you find one.

hi everyone did the test and it was negative so have been feeling pretty low and wasnt helped by dp reading txt wrong and thinking he was gonna be a daddy

i hope you can help me i fin my period 15 days ago it was first proper peroid since coming off the min pill last august anyway my fiance and i had unproected sex the day after my period finished yesterday i went to the toilet and their was a streak of light blood on the toilet paper, today there is a very light blood it looks like colured water but it has a bit of slimy stuff in it,we have been having unprotcted sex every other day as im ttc im also dizzy sometimes as well i cant take a hpt as im not due on till monday 7 feb is it possible that im pregnant or just a light period
