Late period and BFN

Hi ladies,

Need some stories/opinions on my dilemma. Currently on cd32, af was due cd27/28. Did a test today with second wee of the day and it’s negative. My period has never been late, only ever early by a day or two or on time. Anyone experienced this while ttc?

Thanks for responding! I haven’t been stressed at all, I never am. I can’t relate to any of the reasons why a period could be late. Cd33 now, still no af and another bfn…

@KhakiStork when we started ttc my periods started doing all types of weird things it’s never done before, had shorter and longer periods when I’ve always been like clockwork every 28 days 🤷🏼‍♀️ I dunno is it just subconsciously on our minds and that affects it. Hope u get BFP soon ❤️

I have had this a couple of times. Absolutely clockwork and then out of the blue one was 50 days instead of 28!

@DmcinT we’ve been trying for almost two years so I’m very chilled about it now, I’m past all the obsessive behaviour that comes with it so I don’t think it would be because I’m overthinking it.
@Furlane I really hope I don’t have to wait for day 50!

I’ve decided I’ll wait another 3 days or something and see if af comes. If not I’ll test again and if that’s negative then god knows, I suppose I’ll have to book a doctors appointment.
Theres so many mixed stories online. Random long cycle or really delayed positive tests. Just hoping I might be in the latter group!

Another one here who had a long random cycle for no reason. It’s not uncommon you may have ovulated later than normal.

Af started this evening. So disappointed but ready to crack on with a new month. Ordered an ovulation kit seeing as I could be completely off with my estimations!
