Cock up with mini pill 3- 4 weeks after giving birth- will i be pregnant again?

Long story short, I started the mini pill 3 weeks after having a baby, then had sex twice in a day, only to then realise the mini pill doesn't work with antibiotics!! My wedding's booked for a year's time and I have some serious baby weight to lose... so although I love babies and pregnancy and everything, we're wanting to start trying again on our honeymoon rather than now.

What are the chances of conceiving after just giving birth? less/more... I've not idea when i would have ovulated or anything.

Hi, firstly i would like to say 'good for you girl' on having sex 3 weeks after giving birth! I couldnt manage it until week 8!!

Anyway im not much help as i fell pregnant on the mini pill with no cock ups.

Are you breast feeding baby? I know that its not meant to be used as contraception but if you are breast feeing every 3-4 hours then the chances are slim of falling prengant!

Also, after 2 days of no bleeding on the minipill, I started bleeding beyond belief (I talked about it on 'childbirth'). So surely if I had conceived it would just go out? When I was at the hospital, I asked the nurse, and she said she wouldn't comment as she wasn't sure how likely it was after having a baby, but to do a pregnancy test anyway... so surely there's some chance if she said that?

OMG, you had sex three weeks after giving birth! but secretly impressed!

Yeah, just over 3 weeks, and I'd had a second degree tear and a graze! Sex didn't even hurt after the intial getting it in.

Mini pill shouldn't be affected by antibiotics. Which ones exactly are you taking?

Fem something.. femulen? My GP said it would be affected.. but she's not the best GP in all honesty. She said it would 'speed up absorption of the minipill making it less effective'.

And what antibiotic?

Then I think you should be fine! A couple of the stronger antibiotics would affect it though.

If you want to double check then ring your local pharmacist because if you did need it you could then get the morning after pill.
