Good news stories after multiple miscarriages?

Hi all,

We’ve just had a second miscarriage in a row (first at 6 weeks, the second at 11 weeks) while trying for #2. This time was particularly traumatic and I need some good news stories of successful pregnancies following miscarriages. I’m desperate for some hope, to keep trying down this journey.

thanks in advance!

I’m so sorry. I had 4. One molar so doesn’t count really. Followed by three more 1st trimester. I took progesterone and metformin. I now have 2 children. Keep going and ask for help. Good luck.

I had two before my DS. One at 6 weeks and one at 9 weeks. The 2nd one was a missed miscarriage and I had to have a D&C. Thankfully my #3 pregnancy was successful and resulted in a beautiful son.

I’m so sorry, I had three and a lot of years of fertility treatment. My sons are 17&15, we got there eventually.

I had a missed miscarriage and found out at my dating scan. Awful. Then just couldn't seem to get passed the 5 week mark.

Referred to the recurrent miscarriage clinic and when I got pregnant again was given mini aspirin and a form of progesterone. My son is now 3 and we have just started trying for baby 2.

Testing never found a reason and it could all have been bad luck and my son was always going to be healthy enough to go to full term. If I get pregnant again I'll have to discuss with my GP whether I can be referred to the clinic again and try the same treatment.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I found Tommy's to be an amazing resource.

I have a son, born 2022, no troubles when TTC him. We thought having our second child would be just as easy. Trying for our 2nd, I had my first MC in January 2025 (private scan at 8 weeks showed a baby with a heartbeat, but measuring only 6 weeks). I prepared myself for the worst, as my cycles are regular and I was certain of my dates. Sure enough, I lost the baby at 11 weeks - natural MC.
I then had a chemical pregnancy in June.
In August I had my 3rd loss. This time a MMC at what should have been around 8-9 weeks. Baby had died a week earlier.
Fast forward to November. I decided that if I got pregnant again, I wouldn't just try nothing. I was on the recurrent MC clinic waiting list but this wasn't soon enough. I was pregnant again! I immediately put myself on low dose aspirin (75mg a day). I'm now 19 weeks with a little girl!

Wishing you all the luck in the world! I have been where you are, and wondering if I'd ever go full term again.

Losses are always hard.
I've had 4 miscarriages,
1st before dd1
2 between dd1 and dd2
1 between dd2 and dd3.

i requested and received investigations from St George's and was heavily monitored for my last pregnancy. All of them were born healthy and near their due dates.

good luck. My kids are young adults now and at the time it was something people didn't talk about. I hope things have changed x

Multiple miscarriages here,
before both children, some where I’d seen a beating heart but later stopped developing, and others where I’d had positive pregnancy tests but period came before my early scans. It took 2 years per child but we got there in the end - they’re 17 & 13 now

I had no issues with DC1. Then back to back missed miscarriages - I actually started a thread on here and was recommended a consultant who I paid to see privately. She prescribed me some meds - aspirin, progesterone and a few others. I then got pregnant again and DC2 is now nearly 5 months! Let me know if you’d like the link, it had lots of helpful advice - aspirin seemed to be a common theme. Happy to send you the name of the consultant too, she was amazing.

I know how rough it is but please don’t lose hope!

Thank you, that sounds great. Would love the link, and any details on aspirin!

Hello OP
Sorry you're going through this.

I had one child with absolutely no complications.
Then four miscarriages, between 11-8 weeks.

Recurrent Miscarriage Clinic proscribed progesterone after third MC, resulting in 4th MC.

After this they gave me levothyroxine for suspected minor hypothyroidism
And I ended up with a beautiful boy several months later.

Good luck OP and anyone else reading this thread Flowers
