Hello.

Last month I had positive home pg tests although they were pretty faint and only showed on the most sensitive tests. Then my period came on 1 day late.

This month I had positive tests again although much more convincing than last time yesterday (Happy Father's Day) my period came on 3 days late (I'm never 3 days late) I was still testing faintly positive even after I came on, however, it's well underway so I have no hope now that I might still be pg.

I feel really low today. Fell out with my partner big time yesterday because he wasn't being terribly sympathetic.

I already have a 14 month old girl, which was no problem apart from a bit of spotting early on in pregnancy, but I did have a c-section which went a bit nasty afterwards with infection and poor healing. Do you think that could be what is causing this ? Could I have healed up badly inside which is stopping me carrying properly ? Or is it something else... I have been under a lot of stress recently, and I've put on a deal of weight with my last pg which I never lost... I dunno.. maybe just trying to find reasons that aren't there.

I know the docs won't take me seriously till it's been 3 times but I am worried that something is wrong.

I'm absolutely no expert, but I would have thought scar tissue in the uterus could stop implantation and result in chemical pregnancy if the egg tries to land on the scarred area. I'm basing this on some reading I did about bicornuate and septate uterus after I was told I had some abnormalities in uterine shape. A septum in the womb is an area where the egg couldn't implant, and early miscarriage / CP is more likely for women with this. There might be something like this with post c-sec scarring too?

Bumping for someone with more knowledge, and sympathies for you - TTC is a slog some days.

I had exactly the same as you in March/April this year. No advice I'm afraid as I don't know what caused it but it was really upsetting. I was sent for a scan after the second one because I couldn't be sure if the bleed was 'complete' as it only lasted two days.

Thank you Karvol & Lyra. Might go and see doc anyway.. see what they think about the section.
