Can implantation bleeding last 4 days?

I came off the pill in November and have been TTC since then. My periods went back to normal straight away and have been very consistent. This Monday I started with a very very light pink spotting on wiping, I was so surprised as my period wasn’t due for another 10 days at that point.
My periods have always been extremely heavy and start thick and fast, they are never this light! I was waiting for it to get heavier but it hasn’t, I’ve had the same pinky spotting four days in a row now, it’s usually on wiping but I have been wearing a liner to catch it. There has only been a very scanty amount and sometimes mixed with white discharge. It isn’t always present when I wipe. I haven’t had any other period symptoms as I usually get bad cramps and very bloated on my period.

I wondered if it could be implantation bleeding but from my research it says IB should only last 2/3 days maximum? I never had any implantation bleeding when I was pregnant with DD years ago, so this is very new to me.

I did do a negative pregnancy test on Tuesday which I appreciate was probably too early, I’m due on my period this coming Wednesday so five days’ time.

Does this sound like implantation bleeding or has anyone experienced similar?

Good luck with your journey.

I didn’t have the spotting but I did have the mild pain 4-5 days apart. Turned out to be twins (non identical… two sacs.) so I guess it took longer because there were two embryo’s to implant. So I guess it is possible ! Good luck.
