Faint line on FR?

I did a FR yesterday and there was SUCH a faint line on it, I wasn't really sure it was even there. Over time (that is, after the time limit had passed), it darkened and become more obvious, so now it's a nice pink line you can see from a distance without squinting etc.

Since then, I've done some other brands (clearblue, asda, savers & ebay strips) - I get very faint but reasonably obvious lines on the cheaper tests (ebay and savers) but I'm doubtful whether the VERY faint hint of lines I see on the CB and Asda tests are anything more than my imagination ;)

Any advice? Do FR tests have a habit of developing nice lines when they're really negative? I've only ever had stark white ones before - even WAY after the test expired - but I'm reluctant to believe thsi line when the other brands are negative.

did you see the line within 10 mins? If so you are probably pg, so Congratulations! If in doubt try doing a clearblue digital on the day your af due and you will have a definitive answer. Also see here.

I've never had an evap line on a FR. If it's pink, it's positive, regardless of whether it was outside the time or not. It can only be pink if it's detected hcg, no other reason.

The FR is a better test than CB because the CB faint positives can look greyish esp. when testing early, a bit like an evap line.

As FR dye is pink it is far less likely to be a false negative. Wait a couple of days and test again if you'd like to, but use a test with PINK dye.

Oh my goodness - I hope you're right!!

AF is due in the next couple of days, so I plan to re-test on Thursday if there's no sign of the hag by then. Just ordered more FRs and a CB digi online, so they should be here in time!!

I love the fact that you only did the FR test yesterday and since then you've done four other types of test already!

Wait until the FR is a good depth of pink before the CB digi is used. Maybe even the next day. I think I waited 2 days after a clear FR +ve this time...digi came up pregnant in 1 minute.

your hcg levels will double every 48 hours (approx) so in 2 days they will be even higher.

Ah well - if I was pg, it wasn't for long - the hag found me right on schedule this morning!!

On to the next cycle...
