Mini copper coil

I was wondering if anyone has had both the 10 and the 5 year 'mini' copper coil and if you've experienced any difference in cramping and bleeding? I know the five year one is smaller with less copper.

For reference I just had my 10 year coil removed after three years because we want to TTC in spring. I had awful cramps, heavy bleeding and spotting - I essentially had a week a month where I wasn't cramping, bleeding or spotting and was anaemic at one point. I have a retroverted uterus which doesn't help.

Hormonal options aren't right for me because of cancer history and they also trigger my anxiety. We've discussed my husband getting a vasectomy in future but he'd like to wait a couple of years after we have a baby to make sure we're done.

Yes, I had both (when much younger) and the 5 one was fine, the 10 year I had to get taken out as it would not settle ... not a huge sample size, but anecdata.
