TW - does this look like a chemical?

Photos in comments. I’m 8dp5dt today.

Would appreciate any insight/guidance. Feeling really sad and deflated this morning but want to guard my heart and be realistic!

Thank you for reading x

I wouldn't write this off as a chemical yet. HCG doubles every 48 hours and the line progression from day 6 to 8 looks good to me.

I agree with pp! It’s ready hard to compare lines when you are testing so often. I was certain that I was having a chemical with my first pregnancy, but it wasn't.

Fingers crossed for you.

Thank you both 🙏😘 I was spiralling down a Reddit hole this morning. Just feel like they have got lighter since yesterday and they just look ‘light’ for 8dp5dt (or 13dpo) compared to most! It’s such a long wait isn’t it x

I actually think it looks like really good progression absolutely nothing indicates a decline.

Put days 4, 6 and 8 next to eachother and you will clearly see the progression. HCG only doubles every 48-72 hours and it's obviously so low in early days the change in numbers isn't massive.

I totally get the fear but I don't think there is anything here that's concerning. I'm fairly sure HCG doubles every 48 hrs so if you remove the additional tests in between, you can see strong line progression.

I've also had a chemical and when it was this early, my line disappeared within a day.

I'm always cautious because I hate the idea of giving false hope. I remember posting when I had my chemical pregnancy and even though it was really clear that it was over, I still had people congratulating me.

Best of luck OP!

8dp5dt was my first positive with IVF and you could baaareeeelly see it makes yours look dark ahah
it was completely white at 6dp5dt (didn’t test on day 7)

I have had 2 ivf pregnancies. One didn't show until 11 days post transfer and I was pregnant with twins. I really would not worry yet!
