Testing after Embryo transfer?

Hey,
I'm currently 5DP3DT - I had ICSI - Two embryos made it to day 3 out of 15 eggs collected.
One embryo was slightly behind with only 6 cells growing at day 3 but the other was 8 cells so they transferred that on day 3.
The other one unfortunately wasnt suitable for freezing by day 6 so this is the one and only chance we've got.

My head has been all over the place, one minute im positive and they next im negative.

I have tender breasts and the odd twinge etc in my lower stomach area but putting this down to the cyclones pessaries that I take twice a day.

Just wondering when did you test if you had a 3 day transfer? & what brand of test. I dont think I can hold out until the 1st of February.

2 x 4 cell 2 day transfer. Also icsi.
Only 2 embryos. 6 eggs, 4 fertilised, only those 2 survived.
I actually waited until day 14.
I had sore boobs the day before test day. I was up at 5am and the strong positive starting showing before the sample had even triggered the control line to start on the clearblue!

Subsequent cycles I was a constant early tester. I spend £70 on tests one cycle! BUT… it was horrendous, getting the negatives daily due to testing early was soul destroying. I did have a further 4 positives on cycles (7) but sadly they all ended in MC.

Oh the sore boobs; they are mild atm for me for the last 3 days or so but putting that down to progesterone.
About an hour ago I got a sharp pain on my left side that lasted a few seconds.

Did you have any other symptoms before your positive?

I have 3 first response early response & a digital first response for test day, i have around 20 cheap ones from Ebay.

When we where trying for 3 years I was testing straight after ovulation until AF came. Im so impatient.

Hi I think we chatted on another thread. Did a 5th day embryo transfer also ICSI

Tested at 6 days after (so equivalent 8 days for you) complete negative.
next test 8 days after (10 days for you) faint faint ridiculously faint line.
then 10 days after (12 days for you) and it was negative which I still can’t explain!?!?!

Did 4 tests on the day the clinic said which was 11 days after (so 13 for you) and they were soooooo faint!
would have called it negative if I didn’t see it on 4 separate lines!

I tested with First Response on day 7 and got a faint line.

@Renisenbhi lovely, yes we chatted on my other thread. I have tested this evening anf stark negative. Think im just gunna use out my cheap tests for the next few days and then go in with the FRER ones nearer the test day. I am such a negative Annie today and the emotions are HIGH.

Hello Op - I was a 5 day transfer so not completely the same. But I did test early and was kind of glad I did as knew I had tested the trigger out so any positives I got I could trust if you know what I mean. Good luck 🤞

I think it’s the days after egg retrieval that counts.
you were only 8 days after, it took me til 13 days after to get a positive.

interestingly the baby was 3 days too small at 7 weeks and at 8 and a half weeks so don’t know if that meant they got going late hence a relatively late positive

@Btowngirli have been testing and they've been stark negative. Last night a line appeared after the 5 minutes so it was an evap. This mornings was negative at 6dp3dt

@Renisenbyeah I'm 6dp3dt (9dpo) now which is showing negative but im hoping implantation has occurred yet or has just occurred. As the days go by the less I feel like this one and only round isnt our time. I need to knock the negative thoughts out of my head.

I would expect 6 days post 3 day transfer is waaaay too early! I think I got a faint BFP 7dp5dt, I guess you’re currently equivalent to me being 4 days post transfer, and I was definitely negative then.

yep I felt terrible at my negative which was 11 days after retrieval so that’s 2 days after you!

It’s ok to feel down and worried though, it won’t cause it to fail, just don’t want to spiral xx

@Btowngirlyeah im probably too early, but im an addict to POAS - the only time I didn't do it was when I was on the medication and injections lol. Its so hard to withhold.

@Renisenbyeah, I'm not going to rule myself out just yet. Just need to try get some positivity to myself.

Hey, just an update. 10dp3dt - tests still negative & when wiping today ive had slight very slight pink tinge on the tissue. Chatgpt says it could be the progesterone pessaries or late implantation but it looks unlikely to be implantation due to being 10dpt.
Im trying to ease the blow on myself for sunday but my OH is so positive that by sunday the tests will be negative.

Im just in a puddle.

I had this on the equivalent day (8 days after5 day) and even a chunk of brown blood 2 days later.

I had the pink on wiping due to the pessaries.
I got told try not to push it in too far and then lie down for 10-15 mins after so it doesn’t come out.

I started just putting it in the least possible amount - just enough so that the whole thing was inside but no further, if that makes sense.

this really reduced the pink and then it stopped completely when I stopped pessaries

@Renisenbyeah I push it right up in, maybe its just irritation.
Ive already started looking into private round and oh my gosh, the price. Unfortunately Northern Ireland only get one funded round of IVF/ICSI so we have no choice but to go private and its working out around £9k. Its shocking.

I started cramping about 15 minutes ago and im hoping and praying that this is late implantation rather than my period trying to break through the progesterone.

at 10 days after 5day I had that pre period feeling - cramps and the kind of blood I get at the start (brown, about enough to fill a thin pantyliner) I was SURE it hadn’t worked.

got a positive test the next morning xx

@Renisenbi love stories like that, enough to keep giving me hope until it’s definitely over! So far I’ve had one positive, but followed the same day by sharp pain on one side, bleeding and passing blood and tissue - suspected ectopic. Then next round was negative. Third round was positive for about 5 days then gone - chemical.

Feel like I’ve had all outcomes except a true positive!

@Renisenbthat gives me a little bit of hope. Mines hasn't made it onto the panty liner, just a smidge when wiping. It deffs resembles the day before full bleed of my period but hoping I'm as lucky as you!

Will keep updated in the coming days. Today's test on 3rd pee of the day was negative though xx
