TTC - Periods delayed using Pregnacare

Came off pill in Nov, period started in Dec and now haven't had anything.. started the Pregnacare before conception on 1st Jan to prep for TTC in next few months but contemplating coming off them as I've read they can mess up your cycle. Does anyone know what actually causes this? Any recomendations what to take instead?

Yeah I found it changed my cycle. You don’t need to take it, you only need to take folic acid and vitamin D. Ive since read that those prenatals are really unnecessary and it’s better to focus on a varied healthy diet.

It’s more likely your hormones settling from coming off the pill. It took me 6 months for my periods to become regular after coming off BC

Yes I did think this, I had period symptoms 4 days ago (same as what I had the month before) but then no period this month? It drove me mad as I had horrendous cramps! Hoping it starts in a few days but even on the packet it says some women have reported delays in their period... not ideal when planning on ttc soon!

I had been off the pill for two years when I started pregnacare - took my 28 day cycle to 42 days the first month of taking it - I was keen to crack on so stopped taking it and things went back to normal

Saying that some people have no effect whatsoever!

I've stopped them because they seemed to be delaying my ovulation. My cycles are shorter in a good way since stopping them

The first month I started taking Pregnacare, my cycle was delayed by about 5 days. It took maybe 3 months and they gradually reduced back to my normal length.

Oh goodness, I started taking them but wonder if I should stop now.

I experienced the same - had a regular 28 day cycle and then on Pregnacare had a 38 day cycle. It seemed to settle back to normal after stopping. As others said, some people have no issues at all! I went back to taking the regular Wellwoman vitamins as they include folic acid and vitamin D, which is all you really need.
