Advice - Clear Blue Digital

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone could help me wrap my head around the clear blue digital tests.

I had a positive cheapie at 9DPO, followed by a positive FRER and CB digital (1-2 weeks) at 10dpo.

im now 14dpo, period not due for another 2 days, but I used my last digi this morning and it now says 2-3 weeks.

however, on the test it says 2-3 weeks is 4-5 weeks by the NHS, but according to the NHS I’m only 3w5d based on LMP, which doesn’t add up to the supposed 4-5 weeks.

could this be because I ovulated early? (cd10). I should know this as this is baby #2, but it’s been years 🤣

Yes. Your weeks dating is based on LMP. It is generally estimated that this is 2 weeks before ovulation... but obviously people have different cycle lengths and some ovulate early or late. The digital test is based on your HCG count which if you ovulated day 10 and not day 14 (avg) then it'll change.

How many dpo are you? The digital is assuming you are 14+ days post ovulation.

Thank you!

Im 14dpo, but still 2 days before missed period due to the early ovulation.

I guess the doctors will accurately date at the scan, it just threw me off because I’m still before missed period but it’s coming up 2-3 😅

Yes so the test can't know when you're period was it purely goes off the level of HCG it detects and what range that would fall into.

Realistically if it's only out by 2 days it probably won't make a huge difference at dating scan time. They'll probably keep you your EDD based on LMP.
