Help? Understanding LH and timing??

Had sex
friday and Saturday
tested clear blue digital Sunday evening 11pm had a solid smile

tested again this morning and blank circle
my partners away now for the rest of the week does this weaken my chances of conception?

You will roughly ovulate 24-48 hours after a peak (solid smiley) LH surge.
Having sex anywhere in the 5 days leading upto that counts towards being in your fertile window.

Personally I felt ovulation when we were ttc and I would ovulate 12-24hrs after a peak so everyone is different.

Sounds like you’ve done things at the right time, healthy sperm can stay in there for upto 5 days on average.

Thank you so much - I feel gutted my partners away I by off caught the surge Sunday evening. But we managed the two days before, I just hope this gives us a chance I don’t want to do another cycle of disappointment 😩
do you think missing today means that I’ve missed a good chance?

@Marvelfan300 I think your chances are still as good as if you did have anymore sex.
Timing is of course important for ovulating which includes the days leading up to ovulation.

Have you spoke to your gp since you have been trying longer than a year??

We were 5 years in total ttc, toward the end half we had a year of fertility treatment, we’ve had 2 losses in the last 2.5 years. And I know that you can time sex perfectly and it can still be a negative cycle, even when all my bloods came back brilliant for hormones, lining of my womb was perfect, still negative.

We were due to start IVF last summer but by chance I found out for a 3rd time we were pregnant in June while waiting for ivf and we are due our little miracle in 4 weeks time! (And we only had sex 4 days before and 1 day before ovulation that week I conceived, normally we’d of been 3 or 4 times in the week but I gave up that month)

I understand the frustration and the heartbreak of negative after negative cycle. One thing that help me through as comfort and helped reframe my mindset was every negative cycle brought us closer to this little one and one day when you are holding your little baby in your arms you know it was because this was the little one who was meant to be here ❤️
