benylin mucus cough max

We are on month 6 TTC and have tried taking benylin mucus cough max (honey and lemon) in my fertile days this month to see if it helps after reading lots of positive things online. It said the only active ingredient is Guaifenesin like Mucinex. I’ve just read the product leaflet and seen it also has levomenthol (low down the ingredient list) which might counteract what I need it for. I didn’t have as much noticeable EWCM this month and worried I’ve ruined our chances this month. We also used conceive plus lube. Anyone have positive stories about benylin mucus cough max?

It’s not a good idea to be using cough medicine off label for this. It’s OTC for a reason. This sort of thing is a modern old wives tale, like raising yourself up on pillows after DTD etc. Mineral/vitamin deficiencies (particularly zinc in men) can cause issues with sperm count/motility. If you want to feel like you’re doing something to help, I would follow the science and try zinc supplements for your DH. We were advised to do this by a doctor after years of TTC and 3 months later had a BFP (it takes 3 months to work).
