Hi

I'm 33 and we are TTC for the first time. Had sex on and around ovulation day (dec 8th).

Took a test on dec 20th which was negative within 1 minute (I then had a call to take) so checked after maybe 15minutes and there was a second line however assumed it was a evap.

Period came late and was strage, was due to start dec 20th it diddnt arrive until xmas eve but there wasnt any real bleeding (very light spotting) until 26th this is very odd for me as cycles are usually on time and last 3-4 days, I dont start light I always just go straight into normal bleeding. I stopped bleeding 30/12. Period when it did 'properly' start was sort of normal, maybe heavier than usual? But nothing of note.

Thought nothing off it until I started to get dark brown very light bleeding again yesterday! It's not enough for a pad/tampon but is there when I wipe- this has not happened to me in over 10 years.

In mumsnet infinate wisdom, is it worth testing again or just one of those things?

And yes, I will probably get another test tomorrow just to be sure but the irregular bleeding made me think to ask!

Thanks!

Tbf I've never come across a woman in my life who hasn't experienced a few off periods in their life; the human body can be unpredictable. In reality you wouldn't have analysed your period blood to this extent outside of TTC.

Feel free to take a cheap test if it will put your mind at ease. I wouldnt bother personally, but it wouldn't cause you any harm.

Good luck.
