Hello! I’m currently using easy@home ovulation strips to check for signs of ovulation. I had a “peak” result yesterday at 2:30pm, we DTD as soon as I got the result, and we have done it for the past 3 days. I tested again this morning and it looked like it was getting lighter, but I did another one about an hour ago and it had gone back to peak level darkness?! We would DTD again but we have literally exhausted ourselves 😬 I understand ovulation happens 24-48 hours after your first peak/positive, so if we don’t DTD tonight, will the previous 3 days cover us? It’s our first time TTC so just constantly overthinking everything 😩 any advice/telling me to chill out would be appreciated lol! Thank you :)

I think you should relax considering it's your first time trying to conceive.

You've done enough to ensure there is sperm around to meet the egg.

Some people have sex once, 4 days before ovulation and turn up pregnant. Some people have sex every single day of their fertile window and dont conceive. It's a roll of the dice more than an exact science.

Good luck in any case.

Relaxing is a lot easier said than done when TTC

Hopefully you have done more than enough this month but just wanted to tell you my experience as I was similar to you ☺️

I would start daily DTD when I saw ewcm then by the time my peak came we were burnt out and never did it after then. The two months I got positive tests we DTD 1-2 times when I started getting ewcm (tends to be 5ish days before a peak for me) the day before my peak and the day after my peak - every other day is a lot more achievable for some couples.

Chances of conceiving when doing it every other day is only 2-3% less than doing it every day according to studies - good luck 🍀

I know how difficult it is when TTC. But my baby is now 3 months so don’t give up! I used the clear blue ovulation tests as I found they were more accurate! I also gave them to my friend who was trying for a baby and it’s now worked for her too! So I highly recommend them!
I would do it everyday! You will burn out and you won’t want to do it which will actually decrease your chances of conceiving. you still want to enjoy it and when you do your body will give you wha you want!
Another quick tip that worked for me was after DTD I used to lie on my left side for as long as possible as that will also help the sperm get to where they need to be! Like I say it’s worked for me and my baba is 3 months now 🥰
I will be using the same techniques for my second baba when the time is right
Best of luck!🤞🏼
