Spotting at 4dpo?

I didn’t track my ovulation this cycle but I have the standard 28 day cycle. At approx 4dpo I had (sorry tmi) brown when I wiped. It started off just when I wiped but escalated to the point I used a tampon the following day. It was saturated so stopped with them and continued to spot for the next 5 days or so. At first I thought it could be implantation bleeding but 1 it was too early at 4dpo and secondly it was heavier than I would expect.

AF was due yesterday. I had some ewcm which confused me. So I did a test yesterday afternoon approx 5pm and it was stark white. Not even a hint of a line. I expected to wake up to af this morning but nothing as of yet. I’m going to wait a few more days to see what happens.

could it have been my period? If so it would have been 9 days early.

Sounds like possibly a wacky period. You may have ovulated late and had strange ovulation bleeding. Sometimes this just happens for no real reason and the following month it goes back to normal. When your ttc then you become hyper aware of differences in your cycle amd symtoms, where you would not have taken much notice before. If your period hasnt come in a couple more days then you could try testing again.

Thank you for your message. You’re so right it could just be a wacky one. I’ve been ttc for over 10yrs and since my last mc in March my periods have been a bit off, but normally come early not late. I have been experiencing ovulation spotting which I did also have this month around when I would be due to ovulate.

Still no AF and BFN this morning. Maybe that was my period then 🤷🏻‍♀️

I do ivf and waiting for my period while trying to start ivf , it kept coming 10 to 15 days late inbetween cycles . It was so frustrating but it eventually came. And before treatment my period was coming early. But for some reason when ttc your periods just go all over the place or you just become more aware of it.
