BFP after miscarriage

Hi.
I m/c 6 weeks ago, but have been feeling a bit odd for a while.
I have just done a clearblue test that came out positive, so either:

1. I fell pregnant straight after without having a period

2. Hormone levels haven't dropped back down fully (?)

3. It survived the bleed (not likely)

Either of the first two is possible - did you have a scan or a negative test after the mc ?

FWIW I got my BFP with what is now DS 6 weeks after my third mc and second ERPC with no period in between. Consultant said it was no problem.

Go to your GP, and they should refer you for an early dating scan, or HCG blood tests to find out whats going on.

Thanks cmotdibbler, I didn't have a scan or any tests after m/c. I went to dr when bleeding started, she said no need to be seen as "it's very common you know". I know that, it was my 3rd m/c.
GP's not open today, lazy cow, so will go tomorrow.
God, I've been smoking loads, drinking a fair bit over weekend, ate prawns and doing all the things I shouldn't!

What a charming attitude from your GP. Without being TMI, did you loose lumps or just bleed ? Its possible that you 'just' lost a twin, and that this is a continuation. In this situation you really do need to see someone at EPAU quickly as you could miss the window for the nuchal fold scan if thats important to you.

She should have referred you for at least a blood test to check that your levels were dropping, or a scan to make sure that the mc was complete.

That's what I thought. My 1st m/c I had to have a D&C, my second I was booked in for a scan and blood tests to make sure. This time nothing.
I was clotting too, so am doubtfull anything survived. I bled for about 4 days.
I didn't even think about the possibility of losing a twin.
Tomorrow I will demand a scan appointment to check what going on if she doesn't arrange it.

You could go to the hospital right now and say you had a miscarriage and are now having abdomen pain. They will do a scan straight away.
