Hi, so my period is due in 7 days and yesterday i had light brown spotting for a couple of hours so i put my tampon and checked a couple of hours later and no spotting, then today i have noticed no further spotting could this be implantation bleeding please?

I guess it could be. But I often get spotting about a week before my period. Never used to. It randomly started in my 30s. Sometimes it happens. Sometimes not. The times I was pregnant I didn’t get it though! I imagine plenty of other women often spot as well. And if you’re TTC you often notice it more. The only way you’ll know if it is or not is in a week when/if you get a positive test.

I find the timing weird as well because my last period was the 4th of December and my next one is due on the 3rd of January and i think the timing would fit with implantation

Well like I said it could be. The timing would fit with implantation bleeding. But it could also fit with pre period spotting. You’ll know one way or another in a week!

Agree with AP and it could go either way. Sometimes spotting occurs before a period randomly due to many different factors, alot of times it can be because of a sudden drop in progesterone and therefore a period will follow. The only way to know for sure is to wait for a missed period and then test. Fingers xd for you that you get a positive test.
