TTC 2026!

Hi everyone, I created the TTC 2025 thread but as we are heading into a new year, it only seems right to start a new thread. Anyone here going to be TTC in 2026? I started my journey earlier this year and after 9 months/cycles trying, I’m yet to see a positive test. Finding it difficult not to lose hope but hopefully 2026 will be our year. Would love to connect with others who are trying to conceive. It’s a tough journey but it helps to have a supportive group of women to chat to! ❤️ Good luck everyone, baby dust for 2026!

TTC 3rd baby, I have a 5 year old and 3 year old both girls.
I feel exactly like I did with my 2nd, really vivid and clear dreams, peeing lots, boobs are so swollen and sore and darker areolas in the eve, sensitive nips, tiny bits of glistening CM, dehydrated, no energy at all.
If I am not pregnant then I will be really confused

Hi @EmCha, we are cycle 10 too. My first pregnancy 3 years ago was an accident and I naively thought a second would be easy for us. It just seems to be getting more and more unlikely with each passing month. Also not tracking this month, I am somewhere in the fertile week

@overwork @EmCha I'm also cycle 10, so you're not alone. I've only been using ovulation tests for a couple of months, so still very new to that but also feeling increasingly disheartened. Fingers crossed for all of us (and anyone else here who is trying) 🫶🏻

do you track basal body temperature- I don’t ovulate regularly and find it more accurate then ovulation strips. My strip was positive in December and ended up having 16 day ling cycle- had my period 10 days early. My BBT app told me flat out I had anovulatory cycle. It also tells me when to do ovulation test and pregnancy test so I don’t lose my mind..

Period has finally arrived so this is it, first cycle of trying for no.2! I hope to ease into it without tracking. I tested for ovulation last month, just to sense when it is in my cycle these days, so a relaxed approach feels like the way to start. That is easier said than done when I have ovulation sticks in a drawer.

I think I’m having a miscarriage 😢 I’m 5+3 today and having bleeding and quite bad cramps/sore thighs. I just have a bad feeling. My pregnancy tests are super dark but I know they can stay dark for a while. Anyone able to offer any positive experiences?

Oh no! Can you go to a doctor for a checkup? At 5+3 they should be able to see something! I can't offer positive stories from me, but my friend had severe bleeding at around five weeks as well, they even did a D&C for her, and she only found at at the checkup that she's still pregnant with a nine week old fetus! It can happen, but I'd go to a doctor for sure

@Anya23 i am going to my local a and e but my EPU is closed so I don’t know what they will be able to do for me 😢 I’m so gutted! I just had a gut feeling something wasn’t right!

Send you so many positive thoughts @Babyno21990. What’s the bleeding like? Is it heavy or light?

@LeafCorner thanks so much. It was enough to feel on my underwear when I was at work. Then when I wiped there was quite a bit. There hasn’t been as much now and it was bright red but not lighter red/pink/brown. I have bad cramps but I am quite constipated as I’m on iron tablets so it’s hard to differentiate. I’m at the hospital here now but might not even get a scan until tomorrow as the early pregnancy unit is closed 😢

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you that it’s nothing. I’ve also heard of people having bleeds that don’t turn out to be anything. Hopefully they can get you in for a scan, but if not, could you get a private scan?

So I went to the hospital and they weren’t able to scan me today, I’m in for a scan tomorrow at 3pm. The bleeding has definitely lightened but these cramps are bad!! I’m hoping it’s nothing!! Thanks so much everyone and I’ll keep you all posted xx

hi all, just an update. Wee baba is in the sac 🫶 couldn’t detect a heart beat just yet but I am 5 weeks and 5 days so everything is right where it should be. Back in next Friday for a scan to check for heart beat. Anyone else have any scans etc?

Great news! Did the blooding stop? Did they prescribe you anything?

@Anya23 yes the bleeding has completely stopped so I’m guessing just a vessel but nothing serious. Told me to have a good rest as because of the bleeding it is a threatened miscarriage but praying that it continues.

I hope it won't return 🙏and everything will be alright on the next scan!

So pleased to hear @Babyno21990. Keep resting and hopefully you’ll be able to see baby’s heartbeat for extra reassurance next week.

Has anyone ever had bad left ovary pain shooting into their leg at this stage of pregnancy? I know it’s not an ectopic as everything was in the right place but worried about what this pain might be.

@babyno21990 I haven't got any experience to add but I have read about 'lightning crotch' which sounds similar? I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but perhaps reach out to your GP if it continues?

@Babyno21990 GP is best bet if it continues but I wonder if it's round ligament pain? I know this is meant to be a second trimester thing but I remember lots of twinges in the first trimester when the womb firsts starts to expand
