Clear Blue Advanced Ovulation Digital Test

Just a big warning to anyone using the clear blue advanced digital to track their ovulation. I purchased at the beginning of this month a kit and was a little suspicious of getting 7 days of flashing smileys in a row so I dipped it into water only for it to show a flashing smiley.

I always hear such good things about these tests so I just assumed this was a defected one and didn’t think too much about buying another.

Flash forward to this morning CD20 I thought I’d just test with my new clear blue monitor for the fun of it only for it to be flashing a smiley. I thought this was very weird so I dipped it into water, and AGAIN my new monitor is flashing a smiley with water 😤

If you're using the same monitor that will happen. Once you get a flashing smiley it will remain untill it finds your lh surge only then it will go to static.

it won't go from flashing to blank so because you already got a flashing that's why it stayed flashing whilst in water because it didn't detect lh surge (obviously water doesn't contain lh)

hope that makes sense to you!

@TtcbabywardCustomer service confirmed they were faulty and shouldn’t flash a smiley with water.
This also wouldn’t be the case because at my work a coupe of women used to share a monitor and would get different results depending on were they were in their cycles
