Did I actually ovulate?

So I’ve been ttc #3 for 12 months with no luck.

ive had all the tests as has DH. Everything is fine or better than fine on paper.

my luteal phase is 11/12 days so worrying it was a bit short had my progesterone taken 7dpo and it came back 38.8 and Gp confirmed fine and on my merry way I went.

well I had acupuncture the other day to help, fertility acupuncture and she was asking questions as they do and said my progesterone rating was weak. It needs to be 50+. Is this true? Chat gpt said no but it’s got me a bit worried

Hi! Do you track your ovulation with OPK’s?
would you say you had your progesterone test done 7 days before your next period is due?
30 nmol/L and above confirms ovulation, so your GP was right in what they said, I’m not sure why she said your progesterone level was weak, I would be happy with that outcome, progesterone will start to rise if an egg is fertilised or it will start to decrease if it isn’t. You could always ask for a repeat of the test up to CD 25, but based on your levels I’m not sure if your GP would agree to recheck, I know sometimes they tend to recheck if the first reading is below 30 nmol/L

yup I track with opks and confirm with bbt and then had the blood progesterone at 7dpo

the acupuncturist said it sounds as if I need letrozole because a reading of under 50 shows weaker ovulation

Are you under a fertility clinic? You could always get a follow up appointment about things and talk to them about it and see if they would prescribe it for you to increase your chances of conceiving, with you already ovulating I think letrozole would increase the chances by releasing multiple eggs for a possible fertilisation

i already asked about letrozole and they said because im already ovulating there is no point and its not clinically indicated. They’d only really do that if we’d do iui.

they already prescribed progesterone just in case but they said my levels don’t show a luteal phase defect and the levels shows I ovulate fine so don’t need anything… but this was months ago and I only had the acupuncture last week.
