Hi! Is anyone else currently in or going into their TWW?
I’m on cycle 7 of TTC, CD 15 and 2DPO.
hopefully this TWW flies by with the business of Christmas😅

It’s so weird isn’t it I never had any ovulation cramps until the last few years and now they are quite painful.

I worked myself into a right panic about the hycosy. They say to take painkillers beforehand and I took naproxen and cocodomol as I was really worried. I think the experience varies for each person, when they insert the catheter it stings a bit but nothing unmanageable, when they inserted the dye on my right side tube I didn’t even feel it. The left side was a bit sore, they say cramping but for me it was more pressure (like the pain you get with trapped wind) only for about 20 seconds and then it was done. I’d have it again no problem so try not to worry and it’s definitely worth it. It’s meant to increase chances for the next few cycles as it clears everything out (fingers crossed)

Oh, I’ll definitely take painkillers beforehand then! I’ve probably been through worse pain but for some reason I still just get so anxious haha, it’s like when I get my bloods taken, I’ve had it done millions of times and yet I still go into full blown panic mode beforehand🤣
I have read some really good and positive outcomes of people falling pregnant after having one, which is hopeful!
Is this your first cycle after having it done then?

Oh wow you’ve been through a lot @SunshineAndRainbow37 really hoping the thyroid issue means that you’re over the worst of things!

SunshineAndRainbow37 · 21/12/2025 16:08

@lepoissonM hopefully! Just trial and error with getting the correct dose and stabilising my levels to what it needs to be

Hi! Can I join? Trying for second DC, 3dpo now. I was thinking of testing on January 1st!

I’m the same I think it’s the wait and the thinking about it that’s the worst part! Wish they would just ring and say come in now for medical things and not give me chance to think.

Yes I had it on CD11 so hoping it’s made a difference. I’m on letrozole next cycle for 6 months before then looking at IVF so fingers and toes crossed.

@90yomakeuproom fingers crossed for New Year’s Day. At least we have Christmas as a distraction in the meantime! It’s so hard though isn’t it round Christmas to not keep thinking of it.

SunshineAndRainbow37 · 21/12/2025 18:58

@Chocolatecustardcreamsrule I’ve got everything crossed for you that you get a BFP!

@90yomakeuproom welcome!😊 fingers crossed for you, is there any specific tests you use?

90yomakeuproom · 21/12/2025 19:15

@SunshineAndRainbow37 for both ovulation and pregnancy I use the cheap one step ones from amazon 🫣 it gets so expensive doesn't it if not!

SunshineAndRainbow37 · 21/12/2025 20:39

@90yomakeuproom tell me about it!🤣 over the past few cycles I’ve used the easy@home ovulation and the clear blue digital ovulation ones, I definitely can’t keep using them haha

Sorry to hear about your struggles!😔
Do you normally test early or do you wait to see if AF is late?
Lots of luck to you!✨

I wait until AF is due to do a test x

Oh believe me the first couple of months I was testing at about 6dpo haha but was wasting so much money!!

lepoissonM · 22/12/2025 10:12

That is what I aspire to @J1234H but we will see how that goes… I really hope that I will be too busy over Christmas to get too tempted! My incentive is that if I don’t test before Christmas then I can have all the nice cheese and wine!

Hi everyone, just joined this thread. I'm TTC #1 again first cycle after my miscarriage a few weeks ago :( So wasn't sure when I will ovulate!

I got positive OPK Saturday (static smiley) after testing for a few days of the flashing smile. DTD X2 (on the day and day after.)
My pregnancy test has been a clear negative for just over a week since the miscarriage.... At the follow up scan last week they confirmed a complete miscarriage but I was still spotting, they told me there's just some remaining blood but it should pass.

Confused as to if I've ovulated - test confirmed a positive and I have some EWCM but....It's not as it usually is because slightly tinged with a bit of the leftover blood.

Has anyone got experience of trying again straight away after miscarriage?
Would my clearblue OPK be reliable? (No HcG as pregnancy tests are negative for over a week)
Thanks xx

Thomsonetthompson · 22/12/2025 10:58

I also thought it would be easier over Christmas because of distractions but I can't stop thinking how lovely it would be to get a Christmas positive!

@EmeraldPie So sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I hope you're ok. My miscarriage was quite drawn out but after it finished I ovulated quite quickly. I was told to expect my cycles to have different symptoms - more pain, blood when wiping etc. so I think that's normal. I conceived again straight after (it didn't work out but that was unrelated) so fingers crossed for you!

@Thomsonetthompson Sorry to hear of your MC too. Mine was missed - blighted ovum. But everything did seem to pass quite quickly once the bleeding started. Yes - it was just so weird to be ovulation testing and at the same time still seeing some old blood when wiping. Thank you! I was even surprised to be ovulating again so quickly but I know in some cases it can happen after two weeks. I'll see if anything happens otherwise try next cycle after my period if I get it! x

Hi! I’m so sorry to hear about your loss and sending you lots of love😔💖

From what I understand with the CB digital ones (I use those too) it detects your estrogen rise and your LH rise, with you having the flashing smiley which indicates your estrogen rising before you got your static smiley, I would say all looks good for tacking ovulation, I think if it would have been the case of picking up any left over HCG it would have gone straight to a peak, possibly, I don’t 100% know just trying to give a somewhat opinion for you haha.
Do you temp at all to see if you can confirm ovulation or would your GP maybe check your progesterone levels this cycle to see if they have confirm you have ovulated?
I don’t have much experience with trying again straight after my miscarriage, but I fell pregnant again 4 month after my first one and then after my second miscarriage, I fell pregnant 9 month after, then I haven’t fallen pregnant since my last miscarriage last year just due to taking a break for all the testing and stuff to be done with the fertility clinic, I do know that quite a few people do tend to fall pregnant the first cycle after a loss though.

sending you lots of luck and baby dust✨

With my son I tested negative Xmas Eve and positive nye and believe me I enjoyed all the wine and cheese that year before finding out! 😂

@SunshineAndRainbow37 Thank you so much.
Yes, I agree - with the flashing smiley, I was more sure that I didn't just get an unreliable 'peak'. I even had a negative before the flashing smile appeared. I made sure before I used any OPK that my pregnancy test was negative.

I was so good at temping last cycle (my miscarriage) - and had confirmed ovulation with a rise! I didn't bother this time as assumed my BBT might be unreliable. I did test it one morning - and my temp was higher than it was in the pre-ovulation stage last time. I gave up after that 😂
Getting progesterone tested would be useful for sure! But I think I'll just wait it out and see what happens... pregnancy or period, I'm sure one will come!

My anxiety will be so high for next time though - I'm still tormented by how my miscarriage was missed and I never realised an embryo didn't develop :( I didn't get spotting and bleeding until almost the 11th week when the MC started...

I'm really sorry about your miscarriages, and I wish you the best of luck in the future xx

@J1234H I am home in France for Christmas week so I am fully intending on eating and drinking my way through everything I have missed! Started with a rare steak and cheeseboard tonight… it is so good to be home but I need my boobs to lay off the soreness as it is very distracting!

That sounds amazing! How many dpo are you? Ive had headaches and tiredness but nothing else as of yet. X

lepoissonM · 23/12/2025 08:35

I’m somewhere around 6-7 DPO @J1234H but not tracking too carefully. I’ve been very tired too but perhaps that’s more to do with the travel and chaos of seeing all the family! Boobs still sore though.

90yomakeuproom · 23/12/2025 17:38

lmw88 · 23/12/2025 19:52

hope it’s ok to join. Ttc no.2 since the start of the year. No particular tracking. Cycle varies 23-28 days. I’m hopeful that I possibly had implantation bleed yesterday. 1 episode of watery blood on wiping and nothing since. Tummy feels ‘funny’ but no other symptoms. Tested this evening and it was negative. Going to try and hold off until Boxing Day and test again if I can wait that long!

Chocolatecustardcreamsrule · 24/12/2025 09:39

Exciting reading all the possible symptoms! Fingers crossed it’s good news!

Ive not had anything but did have a dream last night that I had a little boy being held by someone from school with the name I like. Never had that before!
