Hello,

Im looking for some advice,

To start from the beginning I had a period on the 24th October for 4 days with heavy bleeding... then I had a light bleeding on the 21st November for 4 days. My normal period is 5 days with heavy bleeding.

I did a pregnancy test out of nowhere on Tuesday 9th Dec and it was faints (the video will be in comments) and then the next day I did another test with the same brand and it was faint postive (attached to this post). The tests I used that is faint are clear and simple stick and strip..

Ive been feeling super sick for the last week, dizzy, tired, boobs has been super sore on and off, going to the toilet alot, mood swings like crazy, food aversions, acid reflux and cravings.

Ive done other tests and theyre negative?

Does anyone have any clue as to whats going on? Ive contacted the midwives on Wednesday after doing my test.. then I contacted them on Thursday when I seen a negative?

They advised i wait a week or two to test again (im impatient) and to call them back. I spoke to the Dr's and they dont do blood tests anymore for pregnancy..

My partner is saying there's a high chance im pregnant due to cryptic pregnancies happening in his family and his mother didnt find out till 6 months that she was pregnant with him...

Some advice please

I know it’s tempting but I really would wait a week, you’re going to drive yourself crazy otherwise.

I'll try... I really am going mental trying not to google anything. The lady I spoke to said its a great sign that I've got symptoms but its a wait and see sort of thing x

Sounds like very sensible advice Smile

Not to sounds pessimistic, but you might have had a chemical pregnancy/miscarriage. When I had one I tested positive still for like 2 weeks after I had the chemical pregnancy miscarriage. Had to go to EPU because I was still testing positive after bleeding, and got diagnosed with a pregnancy of unknown location as they couldn't see anything on the scan. HCG then dropped over the next week based on blood tests, so I had already had an early miscarriage (bleeding was only 1 day late from period and seemed like a normal level). Fingers crossed for you, but might be better to prepare yourself as seems like it would be too early for the period on 21st Nov, and too late to be faintly positive then negative from 24th Oct. And being positive then negative suggests you were potentially pregnant, but now HCG has dropped.

Edited

Ive been having the same symptoms as i did when I was pregnant with my daughter three years ago.. ive got really tender boobs ans so on too.. ive explained about the small bleed when I called them as they asked when my last period was.. if I put it down on my app it'd tell me I am 8 weeks which I dont think is fully correct. Ill retest in a few days then contact the midwife team to see if I could get a blood test or something done to see whats happening.. thank you for your comment and im sorry you had a loss 🩷

There’s nothing you can do or not do right now. I wish you all the best

Is it possible you got a false positive on the strip test. The cheap tests are notorious for false postives. I also feel if you were having strong pregnancy symptoms that your tests would be a blazing positive by now, also possible you had a chemical pregnancy though I dont think hcg drops that quickly from one test to the next but I could be wrong. The only way to know for sure is to just wait it out and test again.
