TWW feels like forever

WHY does the TWW feel like forever?! I thought I was 7dpo then I actually hit my peak late, and now I’m 3dpo and just want to test😂 fertile window being 28th-2nd with ovulation on 3rd and BD every other day so really hoping it’s done the trick. Had a chemical on Nov 10th. Did anyone fall pregnant the cycle after a chemical?

I’m cycle day 26… unsure what day post ovulation as my cycles vary 30-36. But my god I am wiped out so much at the min, and my boobs feel like rocks.

PandaLife · 09/02/2026 18:59

@Bubs94 glad you managed to have some fun 😂 🍆

thanks @SKLM just feel a bit meh about it all. This is the first month it’s overly upset me. No signs of af yet but I don’t get many period symptoms apart from feeling very heavy down there, usually 1-2 days before. Today I just feel the way I have done for the last week .. x

Bassbeh17 · 09/02/2026 20:31

@PandaLife sorry you’re feeling so down, it’s such a rollercoaster this journey!!

I’m way way too early to test anything but I’m noticing my boobs hurt randomly at times, was leading a meeting today and took me a bit by surprise 🤣 I am also feeling a lot more random
twinges and things but I am so desperate for it to happen this month it’s potentially in my head!

I think if it doesn’t happen this month the falls gonna be painful 😣

Bassbeh17 · 09/02/2026 21:57

@SKLM how’re you doing with the waiting? I’ve already imagined every way it could go this month 😬🫣 feel like I’m emotionally torturing myself!!

Bassbeh17 · 09/02/2026 21:59

@Bubs94 hope you’re ok after dtd after your procedure 😬🤞🏼
its nice to want it though and not feel pressured! I definitely felt that this month and still kind of want it more than usual even though I’m passed ovulation so hopefully that’s a good sign 🤞🏼

SKLM · 10/02/2026 07:42

@PandaLife good morning any luck today?

@Bassbeh17 have convinced myself it won't happen 😂i don't know why. Some months I am optimistic, others I am not! Finding my cycles are getting harder and harder with the endometriosis though. I really hope we are successful soon, I miss being on the pill.

Bassbeh17 · 10/02/2026 07:58

@SKLM i imagine that’s a self preservation thing and totally get it!! I’ve felt really cheery the last two days, for absolutely no reason! Just motivated and sleeping better and even bothering to do my hair nice for work etc! Really positive but it could just be a hormone shift. I read so many articles last night about early positive tests at like 7dpo and did a ridiculous thing and poas at 3dpo today. No prizes for it being negative but I think it gave me a reality check that I could very likely be heading for a massive fall this month. I just wish we didn’t have to go through such a torturous wait and it could just be like “well done you timed it right, you’re pregnant” straight after 😂😂

it’s half term next week so hopefully I can find some nice days out or whatever to distract myself a bit and I will allow myself to test from weds next week which is 11dpo 🤞🏼

SKLM · 10/02/2026 08:16

@Bassbeh17 yeah totally, it's a mix of self preservation and exhaustion. I got myself so worked up the last couple of months. I am trying not to think about testing this week at all, I lost so much headspace (and money!) last time just thinking about testing. It's valentine's day on Saturday and I tested positive for my son on valentine's day two years ago. I was thinking wouldn't it be nice to be pregnant again on that day but it will be far too soon to tell!

That's so good you are feeling upbeat. It makes the whole process a bit easier when you can be kind to yourself and look after yourself x

Bassbeh17 · 10/02/2026 15:20

@SKLM that would be so lovely and can’t be ruled out but we definitely all have these perfect ideas!!

I’ve spent the day teaching yr 5’s how their period works and how to make a baby and it took all my strength to not say “well it’s not as simple as that is it” 🫣😅

PandaLife · 10/02/2026 15:58

I tested again today and it’s as blank white as can be. My boobs are so painful today too. Just waiting for my period to come now. Feel really sad about it, I was convinced I was pregnant and I almost feel annoyed at myself for being wrong :(

I really hope you girls have more luck this month. I have everything crossed for you. X

SKLM · 10/02/2026 16:49

@Bassbeh17 wow perfect teaching topic for you right now, expert 😆

@PandaLife i'm really sorry, and I totally get how you must be feeling X

PandaLife · 10/02/2026 17:39

I couldn’t imagine teaching kids sex ed. I remember it being so embarrassing at junior school. I don’t think I’d keep a straight face as a teacher.

In one of my grumps today, the thought ‘’my daughter and all her eggs’’ entered my head 🙈🙈🙈🙈 because I’ve convinced myself I’m getting old and running out of them so therefore jealous of any young coming of age teenager lol. How terrible is that 🤦‍♀️

I have two tests left from my premom Amazon pack. I’ll test again tomorrow and maybe Thursday if af hasn’t arrived. Then I’ll buy another pack along with some ovulation strips! As they say, not out until she comes. There is still a smidge of hope. X

SKLM · 10/02/2026 17:44

I had cramps today and a bit of brown mucus, I am worrying again that I got my ovulation date wrong and that I am ovulating now or later?! I feel like it's unlikely, I had my peak last week, and my cervix is lower and harder than it was.

Every time you think you know your body it throws a curve ball at you!

SKLM · 10/02/2026 17:46

@PandaLife you are right, there is still hope X

Also how old are you if you don't mind posting it? I'm 39 in a couple of months, sometimes I feel very old but I keep optimistic, it happens for loads of women this age and older!

Bassbeh17 · 10/02/2026 18:49

@SKLM it could be implantation twinges, we ovulated roughly the same time and this evening I’ve had a couple of sharp twinges quite low down, it might be nothing but it might be something. My period came 12 days after ovulation last month instead of 14 so there is potential it’s all happening earlier or quicker 🤷🏽‍♀️

SKLM · 10/02/2026 19:51

@Bassbeh17 hmmmmmm maybe! Ohh the waiting game 😂

Bassbeh17 · 10/02/2026 19:54

@SKLM its just torture!! I’m struggling and keep getting excited then all of a sudden really grumpy because I’m like “don’t be stupid it’s probably not happened” 🙄🤷🏽‍♀️🤣

PandaLife · 10/02/2026 20:04

I’m almost 36.

@SKLM might be a silly question, but how do you know where your cervix is? My lower stomach has been rock hard for the last week and I look very bloated. I’ve wondered if that’s cervix related .. or just bloat.. I have no idea 🤷🏻‍♀️

SKLM · 10/02/2026 20:36

@PandaLife your cervix is 2-3 inches inside your vagina it's the neck of your womb, you can feel it sticking out in the centre of your vagina like a nose x

SKLM · 10/02/2026 20:47

@Bassbeh17 yeah I feel you. The whole thing is making me feel weary tonight. I came down with a cold last night and that is making me grumpy too! About to tuck into some feeling-sorry-for-myself chocolate brownies but I probably won't even be able to taste them 😅

PandaLife · 11/02/2026 08:13

@SKLM i realise I asked a pretty obvious question, but didn’t word it properly. It was more of a how do you know if it’s moved? Mine sits high so I can barely reach. When I had my coil in, I never once felt my strings. I just couldn’t get up in there and my fingers are normal sized 🙈 so I don’t think I’d ever know if it had moved or if harder/softer during times of the month. I wasn’t sure if you knew by feeling externally.

I decided not to test this morning. I might this evening. I just didn’t want the disappointment of a negative as soon I woke up.

SKLM · 11/02/2026 08:55

@PandaLife over the last year I've started checking the postition of my cervix throughout my cycle, just to get an idea of when i'm ovulating. The knuckle method is helpful. But if like you your cervix sits high then it's probably not going to be possible. Mine sits low for most of my cycle and about 4 days before I get my peak each month I notice it starts to move higher and it gets softer.

The things we do 😂

WonderfulSummer · 11/02/2026 09:11

I'm driving myself mad this TWW. My ovulation was way later than it normally is (no peak LH until CD20 so assume ovulation was CD21!). Today is 8dpo and I have such bad cramping and a little blood tinged mucus when I wiped first thing. Given my cycle is usually 30 days and today is CD29 I feel like my period is imminent but surely that would be a crazy short luteal phase?

PandaLife · 11/02/2026 17:30

@SKLM that makes sense. Yes, I don’t think it’d do me many favours digging up there 🙈 I have however, bought a box of premom ovulation strips and more pregnancy strips. Hopefully I can properly test what is happening and know if I’m even ovulating.

As of yet, no af. Last night I woke up numerous times convinced that I had started, then today my discharge has been really heavy and have had to check a few times because it feels like my period. It’s very odd. I did test this afternoon and still negative.

When can you girls start testing?

@WonderfulSummer the tinged mucus could be a sign of implantation? Hopefully that’s the case for you. I have had cramping throughout my whole luteal phase which has been slightly annoying. I’m not sure why :/

SKLM · 11/02/2026 18:13

@WonderfulSummer hey there. Sounds like if you ovulated a bit late that might push back your period and make your luteal phase a bit longer?

@PandaLife if you are having periods you are definitely ovulating 😊hopefully the opks will help pinpoint a bit better? I think they narrow things down quite a lot, I get so many pain symptoms with my endo that a lot of the ovulation cramping symptoms I get are probably to do with that and it confuses me. At least the opks help me a bit. CM is still a bit of a mystery to me though, I don't know who writes all the guidance you find on line it isn't as clear cut as they say. Some months I seem to have fertile CM for ages. You are not out yet if af hasn't arrived ❤
