Hi,

Hi everyone 💛
I’m 39 and due to start ICSI IVF in January, and I’d really love to hear from anyone who’s been through something similar.

My current results are:

AMH: 5 pmol

Follicle count: 14 total (8 one side, 6 the other)

We also have some male factor involved:

Sperm count: 118 million total (59 million concentration per ml)

Motility (movement): 20%

Morphology (normal shape): 3%

Because of this we’re going the ICSI route.

If anyone has experience with similar numbers, I’d be so grateful to hear how things went for you. Feeling hopeful but very nervous — thank you so much in advance for any support and advice ❤️

Hey @SpoonyDeer , very similar stats (a little lower than yours actually). Something like 4amh, DP 2% morphology (but good numbers). Also used icsi. Both 39 now (but trying 4 years inc 2 spontaneous failed pregnancies). We had a lot of either very bad luck or my eggs are better without much stimming, but our 5th round where we stimmed for the lowest number but best quality gave us 1 4ab blast which has grown into a recognisable human shape that waved at us in the most recent scan (11 weeks now). It can be a long and difficult road but your stats are slightly better than ours and we had particular failures that were way lower than the average experience.

Congratulations , great to hear a wonderful success story with stats that were similar to ours. Which IVF clinic did you use ? 💖

First 2 with nhs (Glasgow royal) then did a three cycle package with Create (London clinic). Highest stims gave me fewest eggs, low stims gave me way more eggs but no blasts and lowest stims gave me same number of eggs as one of the highest stim rounds (1) but presumably quality was significantly improved (but could have been luck or other factors) by not stimming much at all. But everyone is different, literally! Maybe just good to know if high stims don’t give you blasts. Good luck pal!
