Is it possible to ovulate without a temperature shift??

Stupid question really, I know everyone's different. I had a temp shift last month, but was convinced I hadn't ovulated even though FF said I prob had on day 9 ( I have short cycles). This month, no temp shift but have been really (and I mean really) randy from about day 9 to day 16; to the point where there wasn't a good time to check cm, if you see what I mean ().

Has anyone else ovulated without the temp shift?

Sorry can't be any help to you as I am wondering the same thing (but for different reasons). Will watch this thread with interest!

You can have a temp rise in the second half of your cycle when an egg has not actually been shed. The surest way of knowing whether ovulation has occured or otherwise is to have blood tests done.

How short are your cycles?.

At the moment about 21 days, which is annoying (more periods per year!), but also nice that I don't have to wait so long between times - I'm pretty sure they were like this many moons ago before I went on the pill too. It's only my second month of ttc and last month FF said I'd ovulated on day 9, which would make my LP about 12 days which is good. The randiness this month would agree with that timescale I think.....!
