What is going on?

To start with, I know the answer is just to wait and see. But i’m puzzled!

I’m CD 28. My cycles are short but pretty regular at 24 days, but I ovulated a day or two later than usual on CD14, 15 at a push (according to CB static smiley followed v dark OPKs the next two days). I got a smear of blood on CD 26, so thought that was my period starting but have had nothing but tiny bits of brown spotting since - which I have had every day. All tests stark white negative, no symptoms, I honestly don’t think i’m pregnant. But where is my period? I get being late if I ovulated late but I didn’t. Wouldn’t a chemical show a positive getting lighter? Can you just skip a period, should i start OPKs again?

If you are regular at 24 days and run like clockwork like lots of women do, and are testing negative 4 days late, highly highly unlikely you’re pregnant. I’m pregnant with my 3rd and the earliest BFP I got was 12DPO. This time round I tested most days leading up to period due and it only was a faint on 14DPO.

LH testing shows the rise in hormone which triggers the release of the egg it doesn’t actually prove ovulation - theres a small chance your body geared up to ovulate but an egg was never released which would lead to the lack of period (if pregnancy tests are still negative)

May be worth restarting the LH tests for peace of mind
