FSH injections with IUI? Need advice

I have just had 3 unsucussful attempts with clomid and IUI at a private clinic where i had follicle scans etc and my gynae now recommends a course of FSH followed by IUI as it is not as invasive as starting IVF. Has anyone else had success this way? I am not concerned about multiples as this would be monitored but I would love some advice as don't know anyone else in the same boat. I have one DC already conceived with clomid and IUI but now feel like I'm embarking on a whole new world.....

Hi muminafrica, Justjules sent a link to the IVF thread. Which you can read when you have more time! Please join us, if you would like to. Anyway, it seems that you have been successful with IUI and Clomid, and your Doctor has to be congratulated for just not leaping into the IVF thing. Sometimes you can become Clomid resistant, and it is not recommended for long term use. FSH does a similar job to Clomid, which is to grow follicles, but it supplements your FSH, rather than making your body produce more, as clomid does. You are not moving into a whole new world really, and I wish you much luck.
