DD born April 2025 ❤️
Implant inserted after 6 week check with GP, only 2 periods since (have always been irregular on contraception). Getting it removed next week so DH and I can start ttc. We would love a close age gap between children so keeping all fingers crossed. Conscious that DD is still EBF - recently upped solids to x3/day but still waking ~ x2 per night for feeds.

Really enjoyed being on these threads the last time around so starting one in the hope of charting our journey.

I got my period back around 8 months pp and conceived at 11 months pp, all while still breastfeeding through the night. My periods were still irregular too. 10 weeks pregnant now :). Just a story to say that it can happen fast!

Good luck!

Congratulations @Justlostmybagel - lovely to hear a positive story! Did you go on any contraception after DC1? How are you finding the first trimester with a little one? I was very lethargic and nauseous 24/7 with DD so it'll be interesting managing a baby alongside if all goes to plan!

Thank you! I did not go on any contraception so I don't have experience with that, unfortunately.

Actually, a lot easier this time, to the point that I was getting worried, but everything was fine on the scan. I had horrendous sickness with my first pregnancy and it's been a lot less severe this time. I am exhausted though!

My period didn't return until 14 or 15 months post partum. I had 2 periods and now I'm 11 weeks pregnant. Although my boy is 20 months and doesn't feed during the day he feeds to sleep, and at least 2-3 times a night and on waking.

@BudgetBuster Congratulations, how exciting! I'm hoping my cycle resumes quickly - while I was very irregular with the implant previously my cycle sorted itself out almost as soon as it was removed last time. Obviously that might not happen this time, particularly given the feeding situation so we'll have to see.

So interesting how different each pregnancy can be! If I was to get pregnant within a similar time frame to my last, that would coincide with my return to work - I'd be a zombie haha
