Success after treating high TSH?

Hi all

I’ve had IVF a couple of years ago, 4 embryos, 3 transfers, two positive tests but both lost early (one suspected ectopic). My new clinic have found TSH levels of 4, I understand 2.5 or under is recommended for conception so they are going to start me on levothyroxine.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced this same problem and found that treating the TSH levels led to success? We have 3 more embryos to try and I so want one to work!!

Not super comparable as my (unexpectedly) high TSH was discovered before our first treatment cycle, but my TSH was found to be 3.7 in August 2024. My clinic wouldn’t proceed with treatment until it was brought below 2.5 so I was put on Levothyroxine for a minimum of 6 weeks. Had our first cycle in October 2024 (unsuccessful), but we were successful on our second cycle in November 2024 (currently awake BFing our 4 month old!)

@HolyMerlotthankyou that’s interesting - my clinic said i can start treatment at the same time but I guess it would be January anyway…
