i aint going yet if LL's testing!!!

48 mins left on my car!!

kayzisexpecting · 10/06/2008 18:00

Thanks Nat. I think he will say "NO WAY" but he may surprise me. He just said if it involves spending stupid amounts of money the answer is no.

Good luck with the car Glask!

lardylumps · 10/06/2008 18:02

night glaskham....

glaskham · 10/06/2008 18:02

it cost me no less than £20 for my home birth with dd!!! i didn't have a birthing pool though!!

kayzisexpecting · 10/06/2008 18:03

I will be buying a birth pool. The DCs could use it as a large paddling pool when I'm finished with it.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/06/2008 18:03

Don't mention anything about money yet, just get him used to the idea first, how much you would love it, how much you want it, how much you don't want to be in hospital again, gather some info, there is enough of it, explain how the MW wouldn't let you if she thought there was any reason you shouldn't and she is the expert after all, he'll cave in less than an hour...!

C'mon LL, DH is 5 mins away, and I am supposed to be getting the kids ready to go!

kayzisexpecting · 10/06/2008 18:05

I wont mention money yet.

I think he thinks I have found some over the top double pushchair!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/06/2008 18:09

Kay the only thing I would say is do loads and loads of research into what can go wrong, not only so you make the right choice for you, but so that you will have a much better idea at the time. Have heard stories about MW's rushing people into hospital for no reason that couldn't be sorted at home.

Also, be aware that you do have to sign a form to say that if something happens to the baby/you because you were at home, and not in hospital (where it may, or may not have been picked up on before it became a problem) so basically you can't sue the pant's off them. They will go through the things that could happen, so will be informed, but still research it all yourself.

glaskham · 10/06/2008 18:09

there are some cheap ones on ebay at only £60!!! thats cheap!!!

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/06/2008 18:09

LL come onnnnnnnn!! I am on borrowed time here!

lardylumps · 10/06/2008 18:09

Right you can all go I got a BFN as expected......

kayzisexpecting · 10/06/2008 18:10

I have just started a thread in childbirth for info and stuff.

The book just says you can have the baby at home if you have no problems.

glaskham · 10/06/2008 18:10

i never had to sign any form i dont think!!! MW's here must be much more laid back!! if and when i get pg, if i'm not already it will defo be another home birth.... DH wasn't keen on the idea until afetr dd was born!!.... he went along with it to keep me happy...

kayzisexpecting · 10/06/2008 18:11

Oh LL, I am sorry but its probably too early.

NatalieJaneIsPregnantAgain · 10/06/2008 18:11

lardylumps · 10/06/2008 18:13

glaskham · 10/06/2008 18:16

LL- sorry for the BNF but hold onto them hopes that it was too early to detect a BFP!!

thanks NJ.... its hit its reserve already, and still has 9 watchers.... hoping it goes for about an extra £100.... we're more than happy with it as it is now tbh... but more wouldn't go a miss!!

glaskham · 10/06/2008 18:58

wuhoo the car sold for £120 more than the reserve we were happy with!!

so we have £300 difference to what our new one cost us!!

kookykid · 10/06/2008 19:09

EWCM = egg white cervical mucus. A sure sign you're about to ovulate!

kookykid · 10/06/2008 19:11

Guys I just had something EVEN worse than AF arriving....

My DD chucked one of my beautiful once-in-a-lifetime camel suede LKBennett heels into the bath. Permission to scream????
