Implantation Bleeding 3 days before period?

Hi everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I'm not too sure on some of the acronyms so I'll try my best!

Yesterday I had some light spotting which was mucus like in consistency and a darker brown. I'm aroune 13 DPO and my period is due in the next 2 days.

I've also been experiencing some cramps that are much lighter than my regular period cramps, almost like a weird jingling if that makes sense lol. Usually I will spot a few days before my period and then nothing and then my period will begin. This is the first time I've really paid attention to my body so much so I'm not sure what to expect. I took an early pregnancy test a few days ago and it was a definite negative so I don't want to get my hopes up too much!

Any insight would be amazing. Thank you :)

If you know you are definitely 13 dpo then it's very unlikely to be implantation bleeding and more likely to be the start of an early period. It's too late for implantation bleeding x

Think it depends on your cycle length. My period starts on day 11 and the first time I fell pregnant I had implantation bleeding on day 12/13

I ended up getting AF last month and am currently 9 DPO. I'm really hoping we get a positive soon but haven't really noticed any overt symptoms. I am getting some hormonal acne but I'm unsure whether that's part of PMS or just me emotionally binge eating recently lol
