TTC #1 Advice/Support

Hi all, posting as I'm feeling fed up and need some general advice!

We’re about to start cycle 14 of ttc our 1st baby.

We got married last year and it’s been so hard having people ask when we’re having kids and having to make up excuses as to why we haven’t yet..

We’re now under the care of a fertility clinic which I’m so relieved about. Next steps are for me to have an ultrasound and a hycosy. Husband needs bloods doing for hormones, an ultrasound (not sure of the reason) and another sperm analysis (he’s had 3 already, 2 of which haven’t been good results).

I have regular periods and believe I ovulate as I get a dark LH strip and confirmed bbt rise.

However I have a short luteal phase which was 8 days and then I used soy isoflavoes which extended it to 10, but I have noticed my periods are lighter and I’m spotting more before my periods too so I’m going to stop this for a bit..
I’ve tried everything else to extend it - b vits, vit c, and also in general lots of different vitamins, healthier diet, beetroot juice, aspirin, pre-seed, cough syrup but sadly nothing has helped.

I wondered if anyone else can share some success stories with:

  1. A short luteal phase of 8 days
  2. Partners sperm not being good (count, motility, morphology) - he was drinking 2 energy drinks a day 😬 but has cut these down to 2 a week the past month
  3. TTC for 14 months +

Thanks so much
