I really want to get female sterilisation but I have a big phobia of being sick. I no I will be given general anaesthetic. I’m really scared that once I wake up I will be sick for feel like I want to be sick. Has anyone had this done and I what is your experience after the operation? Can I have it done without general anaesthetic? Please share

You can have it under epidural but the surgeon will prefer GA so you'll have to be determined.

I have not been sterilised, however I have had one fallopian tube removed as had a ruptured ectopic. This was under GA. I didn't feel sick.

I have a massive phobia of being sick. I’ve been put to sleep 4X in my life so far and not once was sick. Before I went to sleep I asked for loads of anti nausea as I hate being sick and everytime they’ve done that they also give u loads when u wake up too. Honestly u will be fine ❤️

Everyone is different. I felt sick after my GA but they quickly gave me pain relief and antisickness meds.
Much rather have a GA, a lovely sleep and its time to go home.
