TW missed miscarriage

I had a missed miscarriage and had medical management two weeks ago. I am still bleeding slightly and the blood is very thick, stringy and black. Is this normal?

Good morning @Paperclip34, I am so sorry to hear that you’ve been through this (I went through an MMC back in June this year and was such an emotionally difficult time). You may well have been to see someone by now but it sounds like old blood and your body trying to heal but you can always call the department and get their advice? Really hope you’re recovering well, physically and mentally. Although it’s an awful thing to go through, you will be ok. Sending healing vibes!

So sorry you've been through this. I don't know about normal or not but I had a D&C for my MMC three weeks ago and my bleeding has only just stopped a couple of days ago and was similar to yours towards the end (mixed with brown spotting).
