Clearblue…… Evap or BFP?

Took a clear blue ultra early with FMU and we were overjoyed to see a BFP after many months of TTC our first.

I was a little worried about the thinness of the line though and have since gone down a rabbit hole reading about evap lines with clearblues.

Could this be our long awaited BFP or is it an evap? It is a lot more blue in person, came up within 3 mins. It started thicker and vvvvv faint but settled by 5 mins into a pencil thin line.

Did another test this afternoon and it was stark white, but I suppose this could be because I’m only 11/12dpo and it wasn’t FMU.

Any help appreciated!

I'm really sorry, this looks like an evap. It's too thin. I know you said it started thicker, but the dye has cleared now.

I'm really sorry, I wouldn't rely on that line - but you're not out yet!

Take a FRER or any other pink dye test if AF doesn't come.

Good luck!

Thank you @Sillysoggyspaniel @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne

I really appreciate you both being honest! I think I knew deep down after the initial elation I looked at it again, I said to my other half I just don’t trust that line.

I had no idea you could get a blue evap until today, it’s such a cruel quirk of the test!

I’m not too hopeful for this month but our time will come ❤

It's ridiculous that they haven't redesigned the test - it's so common, and so heartbreaking. Fingers and toes crossed that you aren't waiting much longer for your baby x

Thank you xxx

I know it’s terrible that it hasn’t been addressed if it’s a known issue. Naively I just assumed that every coloured line was a positive so I’m grateful that I realised when I did - tomorrow I would have been calling my GP and just kicking the disappointment down the road x

Have you tested again @MHstar?

Have you tested again @MHstar?

I did yesterday morning and unfortunately it was a BFN, with AF arriving shortly afterwards. Feel relieved that a new cycle has begun! X

Oh that's disappointing.
