Hi all

I Have PCOS and very irregular cycles. I was prescribed norithisterone to bring on a bleed and took 7.5mg of Letrozole. I was away cd9-11 but tested on cd12 as soon as I returned home.

The image shows opk tests at:
cd12 11pm
cd13 7am
cd13 5pm
cd14 10am

I really thought I would get a darker line after the first test result but it’s just getting progressively lighter. We were staying away with family so couldn’t dtd and now I’m worried we’ve missed our window.

Please advise (apologies for the bad pic!)

Thank you

I would actually say you haven’t ovulated yet looking at those tests. I have PCOS too and these sticks are a nightmare! I get so many fluctuations. To ovulate before CD12 would be very unusual so hopefully this means you are still in with a chance this cycle.

Are you tracking anything else alongside these sticks? With PCOS you can have so many surges but not ovulate, so I also go by CM changes and I also track my temperature to confirm ovulation as I don’t tend to ovulate till around CD23.

Thank you for your reply @Iwishyoutoknow. I agree they are bloody annoying. I didn’t know pcos can affect surges etc. I think this is what’s affecting my ability to conceive. Just keep “surging” but not actually ovulating 😞

Can anyone else share their thoughts too pls?

Could you temp instead?

Biscuitbaby2218 · 05/11/2025 06:59

LH tests are very unreliable for most of us pcos ladies unfortunately, I would highly doubt you ovulated on CD 12 as that’s really quite early, for example this cycle I got ewcm around CD 13 but It wasn’t true ovulation just my hormones being a bit out of whack ! didn’t ovulate until CD18-20 which lines up as my cycles (if my body cooperates) are around 32-36 days but lately closer to 32. Temping alongside CM changes are much more reliable for majority of us with pcos.

I wouldn’t say you’re out yet !

I also had Letrozole, various strengths for 5 months and never ovulated before day 23-24. On the last round, not until day 30, so you’re not out yet.
I also had ‘peaks’ around day 14 but my blood work showed I hadn’t ovulated.
ask your GP if you can have a blood test 7 days after when you think you have ovulated and that will confirm.

good luck xx
