BBT with wearable device - colmi ring

I’m looking for some help from anyone who might use a wearable device to track BBT. I’ve just got a colmi ring - super cheap alternative to an oura ring at like 20 bucks. It tracks my temp every 30 mins throughout the night and day. I thought this would be a better option for me as I don’t have a consistent sleep schedule to track at the same time every day on waking.
So my question is, what temp do I log? I’ve been mostly looking at the reading from between 15 and 30 mins before I wake up. But every day the temp is different, sometimes by only 0.1 degrees and sometimes by 0.5 degrees. And not in a necessarily consistent pattern.
Any advice or personal experiences with this?

No advice but I’d love to know how it’s working out for you as the Oura is just so expensive I haven’t allowed myself to buy it!

@peepsypops at the moment, thoroughly confusing! I think because the app that it syncs with doesn’t have the same capabilities as the ours app in terms of working things out for you so you have to figure it out yourself. For the money, I’m not annoyed I got it at all because it does have a lot of features and is cuter than a smart watch. It’s also waterproof which is great given it’s on your hands! If you do get it, just make sure you get the R09 model as that’s the only one that tracks temp.

Thank you @KhakiStorkthats great! I just didn’t feel the Oura was worth it but I could cave yet! Good luck 🙏🏻

I have the ours ring and they work by finding your baseline then recording how that varies, it doesn’t track your BBT but it can show the pattern that’s normal for you. I’ve added a pic of mine. I track my BBT separately as I want the actual temps!

Thanks @apples2022 that actually clarifies for me a little bit! I just wish this cheapie I’ve bought would work out the baseline for me as the temps it gives me are all over the shop!

Update: So impressed!

I’ve been tracking the temp from the closest 30 minutes prior to waking. (For example, today woke up at 6:38 so took the temp from 6:30) I started writing them down so I could see the pattern and I was at either 36.7 or 36.8 from 1dpo.
This morning, 17dpo and my temp was 36.5 and a few hours later, AF arrived. I’m astounded at how it has worked!

I will probably do another update later this month as I didn’t have it until 1dpo so I haven’t been able to track a full month yet.

Anyway, I hope this is helpful for anyone considering the Colmi R09 as a cheaper alternative to the oura!
