Ovulation - Pain always on the same side

I track my cycle and always know when I’m due to ovulate / ovulating on my right side as I always experience pain. Most months I ovulate on what feels like my right but on the occasional month, I feel no pain at all (even though I’ve detected a lh surge) which I can only think must mean I’m ovulating on my left. Does anyone experience ovulation pain on one side but still know they ovulate on both sides? I’m starting to worry my left ovary is inactive because I don’t feel anything at all on those months.

Hmm interesting, I get ovulation pain too but it always switches between both sides each month. Sometimes I’ll feel strong tingles on the same side as the previous month initially but then it will always become stronger on the opposite side.

@Marvelftw It’s interesting to hear other people’s experiences. I just find it odd as my ovulation pain on my right side can be quite intense so it’s obvious to me when it’s happening but experience nothing at all on the left. I recently had an ultrasound to check my right ovary due to the pain. She also checked my left and said both are normal so I have no idea! We are in the early days of TTC our second baby and over the previous months when I’ve felt no pain on the left, it has been quite a relief but now I’m wondering there could be more to it. We conceived really quickly with our first and I was on the pill for 10+ years before this so tracking my cycles like this is quite new to me!
