Anybody TTC using home insemination?

Would love to get a chat going with any other ladies who are TTC this month using home artificial insemination either with donor or partner. For me it’s with my partner 😊

Hiya! Yes me and my partner are. He has psychological issues which often prevent him finishing during sex so we use home artificial insemination to take the pressure off 😊

We used AI and I genuinely believe it’s why I’m now 27 weeks pregnant. Husband has high dna frag which means he has to keep his turnover very fresh so to speak. It meant he could go off in our house or sometimes we did it together but we could do up 13 inseminations to ‘try’

@Moosey898thats similar to us then! How long have you been trying using this method? It’s month one for us :)

So we've been using it about 3 years (minus the months I've been pregnant) - got pregnant 4 times during that time but unfortunately had 3 first trimester miscarriages (2 of which were random genetic issues and 1 we don't know the cause) and sadly lost our little girl start of September at 22 weeks as I had an infection that threatened my life so they had to deliver her to save me 😓
But - none of that was caused by the conception method, which has been really helpful to us when it's been such a difficult journey to date.

Hi, myself and my partner tried this way and we have a beautiful 20 week old daughter. We are actually trying again now the same way.

@narwhalsarereal aww amazing news! That’s great to hear. I’m 8dpo today and desperate to test 😂 hopefully it happens speedily for us both

We tried day before & day of ovulation & I made sure I orgasmed after insertion….thats literally it.
I really didn’t expect it to work first time…..looks like I’ll be a mum of 2 who are 13 months apart 🤦🏼‍♀️

@narwhalsarerealyesh that’s amazing first time round!! Definitely going to try and do it more than once next cycle! 😂 hmm that’s definitely a two under two situation!
