I know I have line eyes. I know theres nothing there but I can't help myself.
AF due Monday.
42 years old, trying for this baby for more than 2 years. DD took 2 years but I won't try after xmas. Feel desperate. Trying to accept it.

I was falling quickly from October last year but kept losing them from 6/7/9 weeks now no hint of a line for a while now.

I didn’t want to read and run so I just wanted to wish you luck with your journey and I hope it works out for you 😊

Have you had any investigations done (bloods? Scan?) . It might be worth it if not. It can take longer in your 40s. Potentially you could need minimal help (eg medication if thyroid results are even slightly ‘off’) good luck x

MrBigsCat · 09/10/2025 07:44

Don’t have any advice but I’m 40 and over 2 years ttc with some possible early chemicals at the start and then nothing since so I’m not convinced they weren’t faulty tests now
is Xmas your cut off? I don’t know how long I’ll go for

I've had a fair amount looked at and nothing seems to be causing it.
I'm going to change gynea and have a new review shortly just as one last try so I have no regrets if I'm not successful.

Hi. I know you from dipping in and out of the line eyes thread. Every time I lurk and see you there my heart goes out to you.

I had decided Xmas was cut off yes, but as it looms I'm already thinking perhaps one more pregnancy, but that seems to have stopped happening now.

My poor heart. I so want one more baby.
(I have DD 19 and DD2.5)
But feel guilty about lamenting when I have a friend who has not been able to conceive at all, bless her.

@PennyPencils
aw thank you. I can’t complain-
I’m ttc number 4 (with a new husband)
but I’d love to have a child together to tie us all in together
my first took 2.5 years and then the next 2 were a few months so it’s various for me.
plus im older now.

dh not keen on ivf so it natural or nothing
ive tried everything going with supplements, acupuncture, diet, exercise

I hope we get our bfps this year 🤞🏻

PennyPencils · 09/10/2025 08:05

@MrBigsCat
Same for My DH. Absolutely no IVF.
We aren't in the UK and we don't have the money anyway.

Same as you, I take various supplements but nothing very fancy, eat well, move a fair amount (impossible not to with a toddler) get decent sleep, drink lots of water, only one coffee and tea usually a day, barely any alcohol and usually none in the TWW.
I can't do any more.
I have progesterone but gynea gave me a low dose and said take it orally from a BFP.
I think this is guff, plus he's never even checked my progesterone levels I realised so I'll see with a new one and at least I've done everything I can really then.

Fingers crossed for you. If I see you get your BFP I'll be celebrating with you xx

After a scolding hot bath and massive coffee.
I came back for another look at today's test.
Am I insane? Does anyone else see it?
I do so many of these tests a month, a year (I know, I know)
Is it anything?

@PennyPencils what are today’s tests like?

Flibbertyfloo · 10/10/2025 07:23

There are alternatives to IVF. Like super ovulation with timed intercourse and steroids.

MrBigsCat · 10/10/2025 07:33

@Flibbertyfloo what is that called please, I’ve never heard about it?

Zilch. No worries. Something that light at 10/11dpo would never have gone well.

This is interesting. I will ask about that when I see my gynea.

It's an approach taken by some recurrent miscarriage specialists like Dr Shehata for women who have multiple very early losses. Letrozole, followed by a trigger shot and steroids amongst other meds. It isn't mainstream but has a good success rate.
