I have not had a period in 10 weeks, v v unusual for me. HPT told me I was not preggers. Went to doc who took bloods, was told that my blood tests were all normal and that my HCG level was below one, wtf does this mean? am I or aren't I....

i thikn it means you aren;t
HCG levels are in their hundreds or thousands in the first few weeks of pregnancy so a - result would indicate no pregnancy
your doctor should have been clearer if you don;t understand the results you got

I think a positive blood test has a hCG count of over 5, and as Lulu says reaches into the thousands fairly quickly.

JC, incredibly hard to know when to date your pregnancy from as you were clearly not pregnant when your doc did the test. Did you have any signs of ovulation? EWCM etc.? If you did, then I'd count 2 weeks back from that, and that's how pregnant you are. If not, you'll have to wait for your dating scan to figure it out.

Good luck!
