Progesterone 26.3 query.

Hi,

I got my day 21 progesterone test back. It was 26.3. I know I ovulate, I have all the natural signs and positive opks monthly. However, my luteal phase can be anything from day 10-12, usually 11. I have spotting monthly prior to my period, for 3-4 days. So I feel all is well up to and shortly after ovulation. But, then I start to spot too early, so implantation cannot happen.

I spotted throughout my last pregnancy, which ended in a 16 week, unrelated loss.

I am on levothyroxine for underactive thyroid, high dose folic acid and cabergoline for hyperprolactimea. All of which are now perfect.

Anyone in a similar situation? Just wondering, if I might need progesterone tablets.

Thanks.

Hello, I’ve been in a similar situation as my progesterone has fanged from about 25 to 32, which apparently is borderline low. I did try progesterone (Cyclogest) which raised my progesterone but didn’t lead to pregnancy in 3 months so I’m now on letrozole - the idea being that better ovulation should produce higher progesterone (I had slightly immature follicles just before ovulation).

I’ve also used Proov pdg strips which measure across 4 days of implantation window to see if it’s dropping. They partner with Plan Your Baby who do progesterone prescriptions, maybe that’s worth a look? you basically use the proov strips/app then book a consultation with them (there’s a link on the app).
