Ovulation advice and Premom accuracy

Help me out with ovulation please. It’s my first cycle tracking ovulation with test strips and I don’t really know what I’m doing or what I’m looking for or when to test. I also use premom to track my cycles…can I rely on the predicted fertile period? I’m supposedly entering my fertile window tomorrow and ovulation is on 30th Sept. When should I test for ovulation, how often, and if we can’t do the deed on ovulation day, does it matter if we are only about to do it 25th, 26th and maybe 27th before my husband goes away for work for the week again?

i said when we decided to try for our second baby that I didn’t want any pressure or track or anything but I feel like it’s consuming me like making sure we try and catch it, the waiting and disappointment when my period arrives.

but yes, any conceiving advice and ovulation knowledge would be amazing!

I swear by the clearblue electronic ones. The other ones aren't remotely precise enough in my experience.

You may need to test ovulation twice a day to catch it if you have a rapid surge. The tests are positive once the test line is as dark or darker than control line. Premom will be more accurate once you’ve had a few cycles of tracking. I’ve always had more luck with the few days before ovulation itself so as soon as a surge starts (test line starts getting darker) is when I aim for.

Thank you both. I’ve been getting ovulation pains and noticed yesterday my cm was becoming clear and very stretchy so I know it’s coming from these couple of symptoms..I also very much like my husband too 😂
We’ve never tried for a baby before so this is all new and exciting and nerving and frustrating😂 x
