TTC#2 Faint bfp or evap?

I've not used boots tests before, only really FRER and IC's. Yesterday AM I tested with FRER and I thought I saw a little something but it was barely there. This AM I tested again with FRER and it was more there but not enough to get a picture of. Today I went to town to pick up vitamins and picked up boots early tests and got the attached.
I am currently 11dpo (ov Sunday 7th) so I'm testing earlyish, but I tested pretty clearly bfp at 9dpo with my 1st. This cycle is very short for me, I ovulated really early this month which I'm guessing is from all the crazy hormones over the last 2 months. I've had consistent cramps, not AF cramps but mild cramps for 3-4 days now, nausea on and off, and waking to wee at 2am in the mornings which was a huge signal for me with my 1st child.

For context to my situation, I posted a couple months ago about a possible chemical but I never got a bleed, we dtd to hopefully bring it on (its almost fool proof it works for us when im due!), I tested positive again after 3 more weeks of nothing, followed by negatives and (sorry if tmi) a HUGE clot followed by fairly heavy bleeding for a week. It was just awful.

I guess my main question is what's peoples opinions on boots tests and their reliability? It came up within 2 minutes but I did it at 12 today with an hour hold wee. Are they more sensitive than FRER? I would really like to get a decent bfp before Sunday as it's my DH birthday and I would love to give him a digi saying "pregnant"!
I'll do another one tomorrow AM and report back but in the meantime any opinions on my test and boots tests in general is much appreciated, thank you!

I would say thats a positive :) I ovulated on the same day as you! I tested yesterday and it was negative so i was pretty upset but i will try and hold on until the weekend when my period should arrive!

Congratulations xx

@VanessaShanessaJenkins99 I hope you're right and it is a bfp. I promised DH I wouldn't share it with him this month until his birthday, then it's either a positive test or a big bottle of something to share 😂

Oh that's cool we ovulated the same day! Have you had any symptoms or anything yet? 🤞 you get a bfp this weekend, you have more will power than me, I'm testing again 1st thing!

When is his birthday? I dont know if i could keep it to myself for long!

I tested at 7,8,9,10 and 11dpo and they were all negative but i know that it could be to early - fingers crossed it is. My boobs are a bit tender which was the first symptom i had when i was pregnant with my son - and im so constipated!

I am 42 so am really worried that my time is up and ive missed the chance - i had blood tests done last month and they said all of those came back fine.

His birthdays Sunday so only 3 days to keep quiet! I would just love a digi to show him and to know myself it's not another chemical.

It sounds like it could be too early for you, mine is super faint still (if its a bfp, it could be an evap/indent). I've seen lots of ladies on here not get a bfp until 14dpo+.

If your bloods all came back fine I would try and take that as its not too late. A colleague of mind got pregnant at 49, she swore blind she was "past it" but had a beautiful healthy baby boy! Have you been TTC for long?

Ah fingers crossed it will be a positive test you give him!

I had my little boy 3 months before i turned 40 - and then we started trying in March this year - i got a positive pregnancy test in May! But then at 6 weeks 6 days i started bleeding and unfortunately lost the baby - so this is my 3rd cycle since then.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your loss 💐. It is the most heartbreaking thing ever.

We have been trying a bit longer, I think it's 4 or 6 months but I've lost count to be honest now. We had our loss last month so I'm really hoping this is it. Our 1st is now fast approaching 3 and even though I'd like an age gap I don't want it too big!

Keep me posted with how you get on, I'd love to see a bfp from you this weekend!

My test from this morning...to me it looks alot more pink in person, barely there at 1 minute, this at 3 minutes and getting darker by the minute.
I'll be grabbing some more of these for tomorrow and a digi for Sunday morning!

There's no denying this one us a bfp!

So, for me, boots picked this up before FRER did, and I can deffo see progress so no Evans or indents (although you can see a grey line on the test before you do it. I will definately be using these again in future if I need to.

The only downside I think to these tests is they are slow burners! You can see within the 3 minutes that it's a bfp, but give it another 5 minutes and it's much much clearer and continues to get more visible as it dries. Even today's test, after I took it, it was stark white for the first 30 seconds or so after the control line came up, then the pink slowly came through.

All I hope now is I can get this to show on a digi tomorrow morning!
