Hi everyone,

I was just looking for some advice if possible :)

me (22years) and my partner (25years) have been trying since November 2023.

unfortunately we’ve had no luck what so ever, I’m really starting to think there’s something wrong with one of us or even both. Neither of us have ever had so much as a “scare” in previous relationships.

ive attached my cycles below, does anyone have any advice or suggestions, I’ve been thinking about getting into the doctors but I think fear is stopping me at the minute, I wouldn’t even know where to start.

any advice would be appreciated, thank you x

Hi you need to book into the doctor's and they will run blood tests on day 21 of your cycle. Your partner can also book in for a sperm analysis. You won't find out answers until after these tests.

What are you tracking every month? Symptoms, LH, BBT?

hi, I’ve been tracking LH with easy@home strips but recently started to relax on doing them as it’s been a very stressful (nearly) two years, I tried conception vitamins, I do have some maca root but not researched enough to know when to take it and how much to take yet, but that’s all really

Thank you, I think we just need to toughen up and make the appointment then

You’re coming up to the 2 year mark when GPs will usually conduct some basic tests and refer you to fertility services. I’m sorry you’re going through this, it’s a horrible experience. I would get in touch with your surgery and make an appointment. In the meantime I would drop all the tracking, it doesn’t help. Just have sex every couple of days throughout your cycle, this has been shown to be the best way to conceive successfully. Folic acid and vitamin D are all you need to be taking. You can add a regular supermarket brand multi vitamin if you want to - just check it doesn’t contain vitamin A. There is no evidence any other supplements etc have any additional benefit. Wishing you well.
