Water lube while trying to conceive

Hi all.

We are trying for second baby, I am still breastfeeding and libido is most of the time and issue. So we have been using water based lube. Only know I thought it could affect our chances. And it seems it actually does based on what I read online. However, info is quite conflicting.

Anyone here who has spoken to a doctor on the topic and could share? I am wondering if I practically can kiss my chances goodbye this month. Some articles say there are very low chances, other that there is not much of an impact.

Thanks.

I think lube is shown to harm sperm in a lab but I'm the real world it doesn't harm your chances of getting pregnant apparently. Not exactly like lube is used as contraception.

If you're worried you can buy "fertility friendly" lube or just use a small amount.

preseed and conceive plus are conception friendly

The month we conceived we used the conceive plus lube. Whether that had anything to do with it, who knows. It might just have been the odds in our favour that month. But I remember having a breakdown when I read how other lubes restrict sperm movement.
