Easy@Home tests blazing false positives?

Really need some help🄹

Had two failed IVF cycles and trying naturally too. Quick timeline:

  • Had embryo transfers in July, then a withdrawal bleed at the end of the month.
  • Started seeing very faint lines around 12th
  • Blood test on 29 Aug came back completely negative (hCG <0.06).
  • Since then, FRER and Clearblue only show the faintest shadows.
  • Easy@Home tests from the same batch are now coming up with blazing positives.
  • Tested the batch using water with these tests just to check and they were negative. Only positive with my urine.

I know how to use the tests properly, and not had a problem before, so this doesn’t feel like user error. It’s hard to understand how bloods can be negative, other brands show almost nothing, but Easy@Home is giving such strong lines.

Has anyone else had obvious false positives with Easy@Home?

I’ve genuinely never seen a proper blazing false positive before and I have spent endless hours on forums like this and had my own journey. It’s shocking and sad to see it’s possible! Your head must be all over bless you
I would complain to easy @ home and make sure they’re awake of the batch and then never use them again!

I found easy@home very reliable but I know others report shadowy false positives. This seems different entirely.

KLPark · 13/09/2025 15:27

@emmaal Thanks for saying that. It’s exactly how I feel. I’ve always thought a blazing false positive wasn’t really a thing, so to see it with my own eyes has completely thrown me. My head is all over the place with it especially as there’s been four of them! Emailed easy at home with pictures, blood results and they weren’t bothered just said it can happen! 😔

@FunnyOrca That’s what I thought too! I’ve always seen people mention the odd shadow line, and had them myself, but this isn’t like that at all. Mine are full, dark positives which is why it’s been such a shock.

Are the tests taken from the same day

KLPark · 14/09/2025 13:59

@SaIIycinnamon they were yes…bloods confirmed negative, so this truly is a shocking false test from Easy@Home 🤯

That's weird . I'm having the opposite. Faint lines on Easy at home that are not progressing but dye stealers on clearblue

KLPark · 15/09/2025 08:52

@SaIIycinnamon I think your Clearblue ones are likely to be more accurate, think the Easy@Home vary massively in dye intensity for each individual - a faint line is still a positive and if you’re getting dye stealers on Clearblue (which I believe require a higher level of HCG anyway) I’d say that’s a massive congratulations! šŸ¤
