I haven’t been on any contraception for nearly a year now, as I had my coil out as I’m sure it made me unwell. I’ve been nagging my partner to get the snip as we have 2 DC and don’t want any more.

we had sex (stupidly) on CD14 - he pulled out. It’s now CD23 and my nipples are so tingly, and my boobs are really achy and tender. A test yesterday was negative but I know it could be false. Urgh.. anyone had these symptoms and not been pregnant? Or got pregnant this way?

Perfectly possible to get pregnant this way OP, see stories like this one all the time here. Symptoms could just be pre menstrual ones or not, and it could just be too soon to get a positive.

It’s possible to become pregnant even using contraception. Using none at all ( pulling out isn’t contraception) , more than possible.

It's definitely possible. I'd wait and do a test first thing tomorrow

When are you due on? I'm due on the 15th. I have the symptoms you described and my test yesterday afternoon was negative yet i did one earlier in the day and there was a v v faint positive. I'm leaving it a couple of days before testing again.

If you did pull out method properly (i.e. it didn't re-insert after ejaculation) then it's quite unlikely.

I've been doing pull out on and off 4 years, only got pregnant when actually TTC.

When I've TTC it's happened first attempt.

You had unprotected sex right in the peak of your ovulatory phase so yes you definitely could be

Same thing happened to me last month as I had to come off the pill temporarily and I was googling all the stats and reading stories and yeah it seems definitely possible 🙈 My period did eventually arrive though so I didn’t test in the end. Hopefully you’ll be okay!

HCG doubles every 48 hours in the first few weeks if pregnant, so best to wait a couple days before retesting to confirm a negative.

Thanks everyone. I did another this morning with FMU and it was still negative - hoping it stays that way 😔 couldn’t sleep last night for my boobs hurting!
